Moravian Church

Hello, I was wondering about the little change you made in the Moravian Church article. I know that a lot of the "Moravian Brethren" came from Moravia, but others also came from Bohemia. But the point I want to make is that up until they settled with Zinzendorf, their church was known as "Bohemian Brethren" or "Unitas Fratrum" or in Czech "Jednota Braska" (I see you know Czech, great! I dont. :-) ) So that is why the article had "Bohemian Brethren," since that is an (unofficial) name for the church group before emigrating to Germany in the early 1700s. After they settled at Herrnhut and in other places, they then became known as "Moravian Brethren." I was minded to revert it, but thought I would check with you if you understand my reasoning. Hello 1/ you have maybe various informations, but my: Moravian church is renewed church of medieval church called "U. Fratrum" /Jednota Bratrska/... Ok, in the 18. century cca 250 emigrants from moravian town Suchdol nad Odrou /Zauchenthal, Zauchtel in deutsch language or in latin: Ceuchenthal/ came to the Herrnhut /Ochranov in czech/ in Saxony- to the Zinnendorf "house". In this moravian town /Suchdol/ is still the museum of this "exodus" and there is a temple of the first bishop David Nitschmann, Melchior Zeisberger or Johann Münster. The museum in Suchdol has exhibition about their life in Saxony and their activities like missions,travels etc. and their remove and activity in USA.

2/ Yes, they /people from moravian Suchdol and Fulnek/ were the confessors of faith and restorers of mediaval "Unitas Fratrum" /"Jednota bratrská" in czech lang., but it was not exists in 18 century/ but this medival hussite "church" (organisation) in the reality in their time /18 cent./ was practically "canceled" by "Austrian throne" /catholic Habsburgs/ and in 18 century real "non-exists" in Bohemia only in some parts of Moravia, where was still impact or the effects of doctrine by Comenius Moravicus - f.e. FULNEK... Neverheless, Bohemia and Moravia were two countries under Austrian throne in their times, and because the first people,who came to Zinzendorf "house" were from Moravia - it was the reason why they used the title with adjective "Moravian" for Moravian Brethren. AGAIN- because the first members or settlers were from Moravia ...

3/ I never see Bohemian brothers or I still don´t know the good reason for used the adjective "bohemian" in a title, the adjective was and still is "moravian" - why? because MORAVIAN is connected with the first activity of this organisation is connected with towns like FULNEK and SUCHDOL - hometowns of the first emigrants /yes nowdays in Moravian church are people from Samoa, Thai, Mexico, Eritrea - but why used the term "dzibuti brothers" ???/. Bohemia, Silesia, Lusatia and Moravia - were autonomy lands in their times under one crown -wiener family house of Habsburg :) also Habsburg was oficially called "the king of Bohemia and Margrave of Moravia"-... and I really don´t see reason write to the article "bohemian brothers" if they used term "moravian" and if there people from bavaria,Silesia, Ungarn ,Slovakia or Burgendland it is irelevant fact... conclusion is: Moravian brothers church was renewed church /!!!/ with foundation in medieval organisation /14 century/ "Jednota bratrska" but it was not originally church "Jednota bratrska" from Bohemia - established there in 14 century, established in KUNWALD. OK, medieval form or original form "Jednota bratrska" was from Bohemia and maybe called bohemian brothers,because they were from town Kunwald and had no reason called themselves "moravian", but medieval "Fratrum" was created during hussit rebellion and Moravian brothers church is a child, or remake or renewed group of this mediaval bohemian religion group. So, czech wikipedists are lazy to create two pages - "Fratrum" medieval /base on Jan Hus, Kunvald/ and renewed "Fratrum" Moravian Church by Nitschmann /base on Komenius, Fulnek, Suchdol, and who are in the word "others" in your text? Hi, thanks for the reply. I had forgotten about this until I got the notice today that your talk page was edited. Someone else has reverted it to Bohemian Brethren. The "hidden seed" had both Bohemians and Moravians I suppose, but I dont know which was the greater number. If you have any information (in English) on Gregory the Patriarch I would be glad to receive it as I enjoy the history of the Unitas Fratrum.
