ITC[edit]

Hi there. Thanks for letting me know about the project. I'll take a look around and add my name. I edit quite a lot of television related articles so I should be able to make some useful contributions. Recently I've been creating categories for years in British television and rediscovering some great classics on the way. Thanks once again and I look forward to working with you. Edwin Astley[edit]

Just a few lines on your revisions. Astley did write the opening theme for Robin Hood but not the song at the end of the show. As for the Saint he wrote the B/W theme and the colour theme but had to include in the colour theme about 10 seconds??? written by Leslie Charteris and it is he who is credited with the theme music in the end titles. In fact Leslie Charteris few bars of music turns up in Return of The Saint and in Simon Duttons Saint theme tunes. REVUpminster (talk) 23:08, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re Robin Hood, Astley as you have written did write the incidental music, but you should give Astley credit for the opening theme even thought it is very short when Richard Greene fires the arrow. I only mentioned the closing music as he is often miscredited with it. I looked at Return of the Saint and as you credited Charteris there, I thought you would mention it on Astley's page as I had when I amended it. I think Charteris liked to interfere and he probably gained a royalty from the music when he realised how successful The Saint was. I am a great fan of Astley and consider him the No 1 of the top 4 British TV composers of the 60'sREVUpminster (talk) 00:20, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Looks ok. Do you know I sat through the end credits for Val Kilmers Saint waiting for Edwin Astley to be credited and he was but just as ASTLEY in the smallest type they could find.REVUpminster (talk) 00:38, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ATV Today[edit]

Hi. Thanks for adding some references to the article and for nominating it for Did You Know? I've just been Googling ATV Today and have found some more stuff I can add so hopefully this should help to get it to the main page. Thanks once again for your help. Cheers TheRetroGuy (talk) 19:02, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback[edit]

I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe I can trust you to use rollback correctly by using it for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck and thanks. –Juliancolton Talk · Review 00:45, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Adventures of Robin Hood[edit]

The user just claimed that it was in the article, that was printed years ago, so it would be almost impossible to track a source. Where did you get the source from anyway? The Cool Kat (talk) 17:39, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Howie for your kind words. You know, the funny thing is that I have never seeked any of the recognitions that I have received for doing something that I love. Take care. Tony the Marine (talk) 21:36, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The newsletter can be edited by anyone, and I usually start the newsletter a few days before the end of the month. If you ever notice areas for improvement, either change it yourself or let me know and I'll do my best to implement them. No worries, I think I actually like writing citations now (I've been doing this too long...). I'd recommend expanding the article further and seeing if you can find any more additional sources. Then have one more person copyedit the article and head off to GA. If you ever need further assistance with the article let me know. COPYRIGHT[edit]

I am not pleased with my photos having been taken down already - it said they would be considered on the 20th and it took me FOREVER yesterday to try and figure it out and post exactly what I wanted. I went to the copyright questions page which the person then answered my questions last night, apparently not giving me enough time to use his answers because now they're gone and I have to start ALL OVER! You all should give people enough time to hear back from support services before you go deleting stuff. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jekyllmuseum (talkcontribs) 13:35, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Firstly, I have no idea as to what image you are talking about. Secondly, I haven't deleted anything. Thirdly, I most certainly do not appreciate the way you have stormed onto my talk page and attacked me and accused me of deleting content when I have done no such thing. Kindly think about your messages before you go around accusing people of doing something they are absolutely nothing to do with. How dare you try and point the finger of blame at me. Kindly respond in a more courteous manner and apologise. Howie 14:16, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Howie, I am sorry to accuse you if you have nothing to do with it, but on the welcome page, it was signed by you to ask any questions - so that's what I did. I asked a copyright question since on my talk page you had an article about "possible coi" and then there was a copyright notice about my images about to be deleted (which I assumed was from you as well) and then they were gone before I could receive an answer from the copyright talk page. There's too many avenues in which to discuss a question or topic, keeping up with all of them is frustrating for someone who is trying to learn. I'll be more careful in the future. Hi I have just been looking at R&H and thought the article could be improved by combining the writers, directers sections in a wikistyle episode guide still linking to the episode proper. I have noticed the production no's are incorrect on the episode page. The latest DVD set has them in production order. I have done and example on the R&H talkpage Talk:Randall_and_Hopkirk_(Deceased) What do you think?REVUpminster (talk) 19:03, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I will give it a go. I will continue on the talk page until I have done about half before transfering. It took me a week to do 88 Zorro episodes.List_of_Zorro_episodes. Incidently the overview section needs redoing as there is no story arc, except for the first episode, all subsequent episodes can be in any order. The latest dvd set in production order shows how it became more comedic because of the influence of Mike Pratt and Kenneth Cope. Andrew Pixley has an excellent booklet with the set. I am nearly happy with the template for Queen of Swords(my pet project) on my talk page except the colour and I think I want another column for cast initialsREVUpminster (talk) 10:35, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Completed list there are some title errors on the individual episode pages so I have had to adjust the linksREVUpminster (talk) 22:35, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi I have done the episode list for R&H and someone has taken a lot of effort with all the images although a few titles are wrong and I have had to adjust my links to fit. I thought I might have a go at Department S but the info is spread far and wide. IMDB splits it into 2 series and puts it broadcasting as of March 9, 1969 in the UK which would fit with R&H immediately following it September 21, 1969 as stated in Andrew Pixley's guide and also he states Department S was being broadcast while still being filmed. EpGuides must have the american dates and order. I will have to presume the Network DVD has the correct order. Any thoughts?REVUpminster (talk) 17:15, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I am sure the IMDB are correct fot the first 8 and I was around when it was first broadcast in London and I do not remember a break. But it is a long time ago. Also I am sure there was a fansite but it seems to have gone. Nothing ever disappears completley from the web so it is there somewhere. I did find the archived pages for the Queen of Swords(my pet subject) but I don't know how I did it. I would look for Andrew Pixley but I don't do the social networking sites where he probably is.REVUpminster (talk) 22:50, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I decided I had to complete the episode guide using the dates in the Network video. I have put the reference as the Network DVD guide. I have also done Strange Report, still doing the synopsis's. I am thinking of changing the image to a non dvd cover to a screen shot of the titles. Oddly my DVD cover is different from the one shown although the wording is identical. I am also thinking of doing The Baron...REVUpminster (talk) 09:00, 11 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
