Welcome[edit]

Hello, Hemant banswal, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you created was Hemant Banswal, which appears to be an article about yourself. This is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Welcome![edit]

Hello, Hemant banswal, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Hemant Banswal, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Hemant Banswal requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.  SmileBlueJay97  talk  13:20, 10 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Hemant Banswal[edit]

Hello Hemant banswal,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Hemant Banswal for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. TheLongTone (talk) 13:47, 10 February 2015 (UTC) And DO NOT REMOVE SPEEDY DELETION TAGS FROM ARTICLES YOU HAVE WRITTEN YOURSELF. It is regarded as disruptive editing.TheLongTone (talk) 14:01, 10 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Baba Sundar ji requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://searchgurbani.com/bhatts/sunderbaba. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". License tagging for File:Baba Sundar ji.jpeg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Baba Sundar ji.jpeg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 17:31, 30 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Bombax ceiba Tree.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Bombax ceiba Tree.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 14:53, 31 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use images[edit]

Hi. You have uploaded a lot of images under fair use. However, they almost all fail to satisfy the [[WP:WP:NFCC|non-free content criteria. In particular, Wikipedia does not allow the use of non-free content where it is possible to replace it with equivalent free content. The images you have uploaded are replaceable, and in many cases, already have free equivalents which you replaced. Please take time to read and understand the non-free content criteria before uploading any more such images. Regards. -- Whpq (talk) 15:25, 31 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your photos[edit]

  • Hello Hermant, by the looks of this page, you are nothing but trouble here, and you just ignore all warnings and advice. I've come here to give you some professional

advice about your photography. Your photos all look like you shot them with a phone. There is no composition to your work. A photo's composition is as important as the subject. It must have perspective. Please get some photography lessons from someone to help you along before you try posting on this venue. I made a living shooting photos for over 40 years before I posted one photo on this site. You have a good eye, now you need to learn the technical aspects, get good equipment, and then you can combine the three to have a finished work of art. All the best wishes - Pocketthis (talk) 18:54, 3 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contributions - amateur photography is welcome at Wikipedia, and is often essential in cases where freely-licenced photographs of a subject simply don't exist online. Before adding one of your own photos to an article, though, check whether there are any higher resolution shots of the same subject on Wikimedia Commons which could be used instead. A bird like the feral pigeon exists all over the world, and chances are someone else has already taken a better shot of one.

You should also ask yourself whether a photo you're adding is illustrating anything new, or repeating something already shown in the article - if it's a repeat, the article should only use whichever of the two images is better. (If you want an impartial second opinion, you can ask on the talk page whether your picture is better than the current one.) --McGeddon (talk) 17:45, 23 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to help out by providing photos for articles that are currently lacking them, Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in India would be a good place to start. --McGeddon (talk) 18:08, 23 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Feral pigeon Courtship.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Feral pigeon Courtship.jpg.

Thank you. McGeddon (talk) 16:06, 23 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

January 2017[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Feral pigeon. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Please don't replace larger, high quality images with smaller, lower quality images that you have taken yourself, as you did here. McGeddon (talk) 09:25, 25 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate images to Wikipedia, as you did to Hayat Bakhsh Bagh. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. If an aspect of an article is already adequately illustrated, it does not need a second, similar image that you have taken yourself. McGeddon (talk) 09:33, 26 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

February 2017[edit]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add an inappropriate image, as you did at Red Fort. Your ambiguous close-up of the Peacock Throne is less useful than the previous image which shows the entire throne in context. Please stop deleting good images and replacing them with your own ones, your bias towards your own photos is making Wikipedia articles less useful to readers. Blocked for persistent unresponsiveness[edit]

Hi, Hemant banswal. Your failure to respond to any attempt to communicate with you about problems with your editing has become disruptive. You have never edited this page, your own talkpage, which makes me suspect you perhaps aren't aware it exists. I have blocked you from editing for two weeks, simply in order to get your attention. If you respond here, below, and indicate a willingness to respond to for example McGeddon above, I will unblock you. Bishonen | talk 21:14, 13 February 2017 (UTC).[reply]

March 2017[edit]

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistently making disruptive edits. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may request an unblock by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  NeilN talk to me 21:42, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Waiting out a block until it expires and then resuming editing the same way that caused concerns is not the answer. This time, in order to get unblocked, you will have to respond here. --NeilN talk to me 21:46, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

2 years ago I mistakenly edited one page more than 2 times so since then I am blocked by one of the user. I request you to please unblock me and give me the permission of editing Hemant banswal (talk) 20:34, 15 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Normally a two-year hiatus would be sufficient for me to be happy unblocking. However, in this case the extremely disruptive and legally problematic nature of your edits, plus a lack of demonstration in this appeal that you understand the issues you caused, make me circumspect. Can you please explain why you were originally blocked, what the problems were with your editing, and how you will avoid repeating these problems in future?
