Conflict of interest[edit]

Hi, looking through your editing history you only appear to have joined Wikipedia to promote Stephen Budiansky on many articles and have not edited outside of this area. There is nothing wrong with right now but it may become an issue if you continue to edit his article. If you have a conflict of interest you should disclose this. You may want to read WP:COI. Do you work for Budiansky? Psychologist Guy (talk) 00:21, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Harkaway. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Stephen Budiansky, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Note the bit about disclosing your COI. Doug Weller talk 19:26, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
