Re:Your call for more input on tournament names

I haven't, I'll do that now. Thanks! rst20xx (talk) 23:01, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

Oh, and please restate your own opinion in the new section! rst20xx (talk) 23:15, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
I will, as soon as possible.--HJensen, talk 23:30, 3 September 2008 (UTC)

"World No. 1"

Can you explain to me why is World capitalized? ☆ CieloEstrellado 02:45, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

To show that "world" is part of a title. Not just used a regular noun as in "he is on of the world's greatest players". Like "he is King of England" in contrast with "he was one of the kings that reigned in England". I haven't checked WP:MOS in detail, but that is my best explanation.--HJensen, talk 09:45, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
I understand, but searching for "World No. 1" in Google, "World" is rarely —if ever— capitalized unless it is part of a headline or the starting word, which is not the case here. It's just not common usage. And there is no such title or award called "World No. 1". It's simply the person topping a ranking list. See MOS:CAPS. Also, please reply on my Talk page, so I'm notified. ☆ CieloEstrellado 04:52, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
You may have a point there. I tried also (adding "tennis") to the search, and found a majority of lower case expressions. Maybe you could look up some sports sources? I still think it is a type of title, since it gets so many hits. But nevertheless, the mos may support lower case. --HJensen, talk 05:43, 8 September 2008 (UTC) (At the ATP they capitalize it in a recent news article --HJensen, talk 13:37, 8 September 2008 (UTC))

HJensen, your support is much appreciated. You might be interested in my take, on Lightmouse's talk page. You may be interested in flicking through our convenient info page on the removal of DA. If you're interested, instructions concerning the script are at the bottom. BTW, hats off to tennis editors, who have done a lot of good work, I can see. Cheers. Lightbot

Hi, HJensen—you no doubt saw tennisexpert's attempt to scupper the application for clarifications of the approval text for the operation of this bot (which deals with date fragments rather than the removal of autoformatting). Lightmouse has mentioned it here. Tony (talk) 07:53, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Zappa legacy

The section looks excellent and wonderfully sums up his multiple, diverse, and unorthodox influence. —Mattisse (Talk) 21:32, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

Further Zappa FACs

I am very busy at the time, and my computer recently crashed. (Ibaranoff24 (talk) 21:01, 21 September 2008 (UTC))

Infobox picture

That image is awesome. I have no idea how you found it but I have been looking for ages to no avail. Thanks a lot! NSR77 TC 19:15, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

You're welcome! (PS: More and more gets published on flickr under a commons license - hope this guy won't retract his permission.)--HJensen, talk 19:21, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
I think the doubt over the fair use rationales for two of the images in the Zappa article is holding up its promotion. FYI, I think that the image of Zappa playing with the Mothers of Invention has got little chance of being fair use, as it's not being used in an account of the BBC programme. I'm less certain about the picture of the newspaper headline, but why not take both images out of the article, and give yourself an easy win instead of a hard time? ;-) --Malleus Fatuorum (talk) 01:12, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:MothersBBC1968b.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:MothersBBC1968b.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. HJensen, since you just completed the Zappa FAC, would you be able to lend your expertise to some of the MoS cleanup and other needs at the Dylan FAR ? Regards, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 15:00, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

Sure. I'll try to look at it as soon as possible. Best, --HJensen, talk 17:53, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
Thanks (there seems to be issues there with basic MoS and citation stuff). SandyGeorgia (Talk) 19:21, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

:-)

Well done! Giggy (talk) 22:32, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks! And thanks for the support and helpful edits! Cheers. --HJensen, talk 10:50, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

Congratulations! At last! Lame Name (talk) 22:36, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, the first FAC was a bit hectic, but paved the way for the second one. So thanks again for your support and encouragement.--HJensen, talk 10:50, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

Definitely deserved. One of the best articles on Wikipedia! —Mattisse (Talk) 23:17, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

I am blushing!--HJensen, talk 10:50, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

Very well-deserved, not least for your perseverance in the face of a potentially rather discouraging first FAC. Hopefully you agree that the article's significantly better now than it was when it first entered the FAC list, and without you having to compromise by adopting the pop-style of article. Congratulations! --Malleus Fatuorum (talk) 14:53, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your kind words

In case you do not have my page watchlisted, I do want to thank you for your words to me. They are very much appreciated. I will be happy to help you any time on another project. Regards, —Mattisse (Talk) 18:41, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

Excellent work!

I created an account - 5 minutes ago - purely so I could congratulate you on your excellent 'Zappa Legacy' page, which I've only just found, so I hope I'm doing the right thing here! . . . not only have you not copied my 'Natural Phenomena Named After Frank Zappa' site, like so many, but you've even found one I didn't know about (d*mmit!). I'm just adding a more detailed page about 'Amouratoma zappa' at the moment, and will now be requesting another 'Journal of Paleontology' from the local library. Keep up the good work! --Andymurkin (talk) 21:52, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks Andy!!!--HJensen, talk 23:59, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
