New, shorter versions of all three are uploaded. Cheers! --HJensen, talk 15:33, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Zappa Music Samples

Thank you for taking the time to shorten the 5 Zappa music samples. I appreciate you taking the time to fix them.

The WP:Music Samples guideline says that for tracks less than 5 minutes in length, the sample should not be longer than 10% of the song. I apologize for not mentioning it in my nominations.

I have withdrawn my nomination for the two songs longer than 5 minutes. I have commented on the other three nominations explaining the difference and backing off the nomination without withdrawing it. I am currently only nominating non-free music samples that are more than 30 seconds which have a pretty clear consensus for deletion. I am not sure if the consensus for 10% is as strong.

Thanks again for your work. ~ BigrTex 02:12, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Likewise! And thanks for the clarifications. Best regards, --HJensen, talk 05:36, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for having taken the trouble - I was on holidays. Cheers, DVdm (talk) 18:40, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

Frank Zappa

The problem is the volume of non-free images, there are a number of excellent free image, however there is a serious problem with quantity of copyrighted images WP:NFCC#3, take Image:Young_Frank_Zappa.jpg, it doesnt even come close to WP:NFCC#8. I would normally comment on the images at WP:FAR, but the volume is just too high to comment on them individually, if you thin them out a bit I might be able to give you something more constructive around specific images Fasach Nua (talk) 14:23, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Zappa and nasal symptoms

Coincidently, my family lived near Baltimore during the same time period as Zappa and my brother obtained nasal insertions for sinus problems from Johns Hopkins that were radioactive. (My mother told him about that when he was an adult; she was fearful that he would get cancer as an adult from the radiation - there was some evidence to show it was a danger over the years. I read about it somewhere.) Also, my family moved to California in 1952 as my father taught at the Naval Postgraduate School and the whole school moved from Annapolis, Maryland to Monterey, California then. Sadly, there the coincidence ends! Regards, —Mattisse (Talk) 20:50, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for sharing. But I do hope the coincidence also ends in terms of your brother not getting cancer. Best, --HJensen, talk 21:09, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

Frusciante pic

I'm not quite sure why it was deleted. Grim-Gym and I really wanted it in there but an administrator decided to be annoying. There's something similar over at Kurt Cobain, which was argued, but this particular admin wasn't having it. Otherwise, I assume it would be permissable, if that is what you want.
