Colloquial use of Interlocutor?[edit]

Hi! I noticed that in an edit you made to Interlocutor [1], you wrote, "In colloquial use, an interlocutor ... is simply someone taking part in a conversation." (italics mine)

However, the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary states:

interlocutor noun (formal) 1 a person taking part in a conversation with you 2 a person or an organization that talks to another person or organization on behalf of sb else

This definition by the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary appears to contradict what you wrote; formal and colloquial does sound very different to me. Therefore, may I know where you retrieved the information for the statement you wrote above? Thanks. —Goh wz 12:51, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
