Welcome![edit]

Greetings!! Some fresh Bangladeshi Pitha (Special cake) to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, BIKASH NANDA GOSWAMI! Thank you for your contributions, especially what you did for Karimganj district. I am Vinegarymass911 and I have been editing Wikipedia for some time, so if you have any questions feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. You can also check out Wikipedia:Questions or place {{helpme}} on your talk page. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Since you've shown some interest in editing topics related to Bangladesh, we hope you'll stay and add content to Bangladesh related articles. A number of important articles related to Bangladesh are yet to be created and many of the existing ones are in poor shape. You can help it improve by becoming a regular editor with adhering to the policies of Wikipedia. Consider joining or watchlisting Bangladesh related discussions (for example, Noticeboard for Bangladesh-related topics).

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Vinegarymass911 (talk) 16:00, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2019 election voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:24, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for November 25[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2019 Indian general election in Assam, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Independent (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:33, 25 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

DS alert[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

December 2019[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Citizenship Amendment Act protests; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.

The page is under WP:1RR so you should self revert and discuss on the talk page or face blocking for Edit warring. Happy Holidays! ᗙ DBigXray 13:48, 25 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. Regarding Migrated Cases in COVID-19 pandemic in Assam[edit]

Hi, regarding our disscussion on your Wikidata talk page, i have a solution for the mismatch of Active cases in infobox, if we show recovery cases as it is shown by state government dashoard, other official updates as well as MoHFW which shows it 54 as of now). For that in active cases you don't have to remove the code but just simply subtract 3 and it will match with other updates. Note can be added against Active cases in infobox that 3 migrated cases are subtracted from the total. I hope this addresses you issue. Thanks - Mayankj429 (talk) 04:19, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Let's wait for the other user, since one user has agreed to add the migrations to recoveries Goswami666 (talk) 10:13, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

June 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at 2020 China–India skirmishes. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose their editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to result in loss of your editing privileges. Thank you. Is it truly better (to write people instead of humans)?[edit]

Not arguing, just wondering. Care to explain? Also, what wrestler is the most important wrestler for a non-wrestling fan to read about intently on Wikipedia? The fate of a list of a Wikiproject depends on the answer to that last question! The first one's more just small talk, like chickens and hamsters make. Are hamsters even a thing in India? 2021 Assam Legislative Assembly election[edit]

You reverted my edit here. I thought my edit summary was clear, but I'll explain in detail each change.

  • For INC-AIUDF breakup, I replaced republic with Express.
  • republic ref for poll dates, phases etc was completely covered by India Today ref. So I removed it
  • In both repoll and Voter stats, republic refs were not needed as India Today refs before covered them.
  • In Aftermath, why is history of AASU/Sonowal/Sarma necessary? The previous line sets up the CM choice dilemma which is relevant to this article. For more details on history, Sarma/Sonowal pages have that data.
  • Aftermath paragraph has several WP:POV, even WP:OR things which aren't even in the referenced source; like - "This makes Sonowal a perfect person to lead the party in terms of protecting regional and cultural identities of the state", "Also its victory in 2021 is also due to his ability to bring people on his side"

I'll split my edit into two. I don't think you have issues with removing superfluous sourcing, so I'll go ahead and do that. About the Aftermath paragraph, I'll await your input here. Hemanthah (talk) 04:07, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
