The article TopNews Social has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to List of social networking websites. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you. Somno (talk) 10:47, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I hope you will pardon my interjection, that the above links are useful, and that you will accept some unsolicited advice. I saw your grievance and appreciate you may be baffled by the guidelines, and occasional policies, that have arisen to assist editors here. It is true that "anyone can edit", but it follows that anyone else can modify or undo that. The link you have tried to include in the WP:list is a redlink, the corresponding articles of the bluelinks (articles) in any list should contain information and references that establishes their WP:Notability. Because the article - the primary content of our encyclopaedia - was deleted, the notability of your example is in doubt. If you want to contribute to a special area of interest, it is often instructive to contribute to other areas, read discussions, and learn how editors can help to improve the quality of the information we are making available. You will discover that contributors, long term or not, can sometimes make mistakes, demonstrate a bias, or undo other's contributions without cause. I don't think that is the case here, you are fortunate to meet a user who politely informed you to why your edit was a problem. Hope you will continue to edit, despite having some contributions deleted. Regards, cygnis insignis 15:16, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
