International Bar Association

Thank you for your work on the Internation Bar Association article, which was in a bad way. I note you have ran into difficulties with another senior contributor due to your lack of independent references. It is not adequate to simply give references from only the agency themselves. I have little knowledge of the legal profession and it's organisations, however I am aware the the IBA is an important body. What will stabilise the article and impress the body of contributors will be references to external authorities e.g. other organisations, books, etc, and not relying entirely on the organisation itself, as this could potentially lead to the perception of an imbalanced or biased article. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require further assistance in this matter, but remember 1. I have little knowledge of the subject matter and 2. I am not very up to date with Wikipedia although I have a reasonable grounding in it's core philosophies. As a start, could I suggest that you look in your library and on the internet for a broader range of references and further reading.--File Éireann 18:39, 13 April 2013 (UTC)

• Thanks for your support Éireann. I appreciate that more external sources should be included and will try to do it soon -I only do this in my spare time. I will also contact some other page contributors to see how they can help. My only question is why, for an organisation like the IBA, the use of some internal references is so wrong for Wikipedia administrators. If you see pages like the UN General Assembly, the World Trade Organisation or, for instance, the American Bar Association (just to name a few similar organisations), there is an understandable reference to their websites. thanks JackMalkovich 16:09, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
