Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed your edits to Rosetta Stone (band) and Porl King - thank you for the clarifications - do you by any chance have published works that state these things? We prefer to cite our sources - makes it easier for fact-checking & in case of disagreement. Thanks! Matthew Brown (Morven) (T:C) 03:20, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for responding so quick. I wholly understand; much of my reference material for things like that was left behind in the UK when I moved to California ten years ago, and I've obviously not been in contact with the UK scene much since. Hopefully you'll get things dug out of boxes eventually! It's all too easy for Wikipedia articles on subjects like this to get full of rumours and half-truths - and some of the half-truths have been written down somewhere and then Wikipedia is quoting them as if they were accurate. It's interesting to note that internet-age things do poorer in terms of leaving a lasting trail than things pre-Internet; old mags and flyers and the like may stick around, but once a website's gone, it's gone - which often is little longer than the thing exists that it's documenting. Sometimes archive.org keeps a copy, but you can't rely on that. I wonder if future historians will rue the day we stopped writing everything down on paper?
