Leading zero[edit]

I saw your edit to change all the NBA rosters to include a leading zero for the heights that have single-digit inches, such as this edit. Can you explain why you feel it is needed? You did not provide an edit summary, and the extra digit did not appear to provide any extra information to the measurement.—Bagumba (talk) 22:37, 5 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Adding the "extra" zero[edit]

There seems to be something wrong with the Sort Arrows that sorts the height of players. For example, you'll notice that if you click the ascending sort arrow, the players with the height of 6'10 and 6'11 are placed before the players with the height of 6'2 upto 6'9. That is why in order to ease the viewing process, I added a zero in front of all single digit inches to establish order whether it's in ascending or descending.—— Genryusai yamamoto (talk) 06:57, 7 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

OK, that's a valid problem, but displaying a zero is not desirable. I put a fix into {{Player2}} so it sorts correctly, without changing the display. I appreciate your bold attempt to fix the problem, but it's sometimes advantageous to first discuss mass changes at WT:NBA, to see if there is a simpler solution. Thanks.—Bagumba (talk) 07:33, 7 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
