Fair use[edit]

Hi there. I have had to remove the club badges from your user page, as they are included in Wikipedia under the justification of fair use. The Wikipedia fair use policy states that such images cannot under any circumstances be used in user pages, so I have removed them accordingly. Please do not add them back in again. Thank you. Furthermore, I have deleted most of the logos you have uploaded as they are low-resolution duplicates of images that already exist on Wikipedia. Please read the image syntax guide, which tells you how you can resize an image in an article without having to upload a version in a different resolution. Qwghlm 12:50, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If I use the logo's from the Wiki team pages, can I put them back up?

Sorry, no. You cannot use any fair use-licenced logos, or indeed any image that does not come with a free licence, on your Userpage. Qwghlm 13:17, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Your userpage is about a fantasy football league of some kind, right? I'm afraid that wouldn't pass Wikipedia's guidelines on inclusion and would be deleted if it was turned into a proper article. In fact looking at it (and your contributions) I have doubts about whether you should be publishing this kind of information here at all. Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and anything on your User page should be relevant to the Wikipedia project as an encyclopaedia. Perhaps your best option would be to remove the content from the site and have it elsewhere else on the web; if you don't remove it yourself, then someone else might do it instead. Please read "What can I not have on my user page?" for more information. Qwghlm 16:01, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Champions-league-logofw.gif listed for deletion[edit]

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Champions-league-logofw.gif, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.
