Fair use and userpages[edit]
Hi, I happened to notice that you have a number of "fair use images" on your user page. Wikipedia policy doesn't allow such images to be used on user pages (see Wikipedia:Fair use#Fair use policy), so please remove them ASAP. Thanks. If you want to list your contributions it's ok to list links to the images, and any free licensed images can still be used as you see fit. --Sherool (talk) 19:43, 13 January 2006 (UTC)

Hello, Gargile. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:BobMarley-Survival.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Gargile/Sandbox/Survival. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not re-add the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Please note that it is possible that the image on your page is included vie a template or usebox. In that case, please find a free image for the template or userbox. If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

Thanks for uploading File:Jan Johansson-Jazz på svenska.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
