A tag has been placed on Call me elizabeth requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Somers Town[edit]

Hi Galaxycat. Thanks for your edits to Somers Town (film). Have you seen the film? The plot synopsis is in urgent need of condensing (to 4-5 paras), if possible, in a more objective, less "in-universe" tone, an overview of the story without direct quotes. I've tried, but I haven't seen the film so it's too tricky. T'd be great if you know the plot and could give a re-write a shot. Just flaggin' it up. Best wishes Spanglej (talk) 20:24, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for April 11[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Lily Alone, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Clubbing (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thanks for your message[edit]

Thanks for leaving me the message about Beezus and Ramona. I hope you like the changes. I'm still rather loath to alter someone else's work. I actually didn't mean to eliminate the character list -- I hit the wrong button and as far as I know, it's gone. Do you think I should put one back in?

I loved these books as a child, and still have fond memories of reading them aloud to my kids. I hope to continue working on the entries, to make them really worthy of the books. So please jump in or make suggestions. Tlqk56 (talk) 21:01, 17 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I am always afraid of altering other people's edits as well. As for the character list, my recollection is that a box surrounded the character list - the box did not look as if it belonged, so I think I asked if anyone knew how to get rid of it. I am so happy that you are reading to your children. Finding worthy books for children is difficult nowadays as they all seem to involve vampires!!! :) Have you ever heard of Gordon Korman? He is the author of the Bruno and Boots books. These books also brought me happiness as a child. Anyway, happy editing (Galaxycat (talk) 21:19, 17 April 2012 (UTC))[reply]

I'm glad you like what I've done so far. I'm enjoying having something to do in the evenings, frankly. And it's been fun re-reading the books. Please feel free to make any changes or additions. Tlqk56 (talk) 00:16, 1 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Help[edit]

Hello, I have seen some the amazing work you have done on the Tracy Beaker Returns article so would you like to help me improve all the pages and possible spilt some of the characters. A full description aviable on the List of Tracy Beaker Returns characters talk page. Thanks. --Anna2123456789 (talk) 20:21, 1 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your "Mistake"[edit]

Not a problem. It's much easier to find someone else's typo than your own, anyway. I once typed that someone was a girl-fiend, and the the person who corrected it to girl-friend got a kick out of it. :)Tlqk56 (talk) 02:00, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Have you seen this?[edit]

I just found this useful page on WP. Since I know you do articles on fiction, too, I thought I'd send it along in case you haven't seen it already. There's so much info out there, it's hard to find it all. Wikipedia:How to write a plot summary

Trust (2010 film)[edit]

It doesn't surprise me that someone is questioning that edit. Compared to the other edits I made, that one was the most difficult. I debated myself for quite a while before I made the decision to change it. In the end, I believed the way I worded it is better for a few reasons. For one thing, I think it seems out of place if you look at that line as part of the whole summary. The part about her being angry with her parents for not letting her see him doesn't make as much sense if it's stated earlier that she was raped. In the movie, Annie doesn't believe she is being raped while it's happening or for a long time afterwards. She doesn't come to that realization until she has the emotional breakdown at the counselor's office. I think saving the word until the same point in the description has a similarly impactful effect. I don't think describing it that way earlier in the summary is necessary or has any benifit. It might also be a little misleading. Some people might think there was violence involved if they read the word "rape". It certainly would be plausible but it's not how it really happened. Their age difference is described pretty clearly in the beginning of that section but to say she was "statutorily raped" sounds awkward to me. I'm not trying to hide in anyway what happened to her because you're right, that's what actually happened. I just think it's pretty obvious to anyone who reads about a man who appears to be in his late thirties or early forties and who coaxes a 14 year old girl into having sex with him, that he is raping her. But now that I'm thinking more about it, I think a fair compromise would be to keep the wording the way it is but then to link the phrase to what it really means. As in, "He then coaxes her onto the bed and has sex with her." After all, that's what the main theme of the whole movie is and so I think it should be linked to from this article. Let me know what you think. For An Angel (talk) 14:26, 20 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

4 O'Clock Club[edit]

A Simple Plan[edit]

You might be right, but we have had a real problem with people rewriting and expanding film plots and offering no explanation for their edits. When I saw that this was what you did, I reverted you. My suggestion is to post a message on the article talk page, explaining what edits you feel are needed, and we can get other editors involved in the discussion. Thanks for your message. Are you a member of Wikiproject Film? I recommend joining and taking part in discussions on the Project's talkpage. Cheers! ---The Old JacobiteThe '45 15:37, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome. I reverted myself, in anticipation of your post on the talk page. I really want to encourage you to do so. And I appreciate your helpful attitude in all this. With luck, we can work together to improve the plot summary. Cheers! ---The Old JacobiteThe '45 17:36, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
