Happy New Year 2024!

Happy New Year!
Hello Fylindfotberserk:

Did you know ... that back in 1885, Wikipedia editors wrote Good Articles with axes, hammers and chisels?

Thank you for your contributions to this encyclopedia using 21st century technology. I hope you don't get any unnecessary blisters.

Article redirect, live article, title issue

I noticed an issue with two articles, Raghunath Mahato and Raghunath Singh, related to the Chuar Rebellion. The Bhumij community claims Raghunath Singh, while the Kudmi Mahato claims Raghunath Mahato. Modern authors (mostly news), influenced by community biases, add to the confusion. However, older sources mention only Raghunath without surname.

Presently, Raghunath Singh is directed to Chuar Rebellion, while Raghunath Mahato has a separate article. This configuration might mislead readers. Is it right to keep one as a redirect and maintain the other as a live article, or both should be exist independently ?

@MaxA-Matrix: They have different birth/death dates and places. One thing I noticed is that Chuar Rebellion happened between 1771 and 1809. Raghunath Mahato, lifetime - 21 March 1738 – 5 April 1778, adjusts well with the timeframe of the revolt, but Raghunath Singh (Bhumij) (17 February 1795 - 23 September 1834) was too young to be a part of the revolt, let alone be a 'great leader'. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:24, 4 January 2024 (UTC)

Sobhita Dhulipala

I started a discussion on the talk page so we can figure out the date of birth. Maybe I am confused so hopefully we can get some clarification. CNMall41 (talk) 10:06, 8 January 2024 (UTC)

@CNMall41: I've replied there. Also for India-related articles, things are a bit different. I've worked with admin Cyphoidbomb on these things, and yes we had to use multple sources at times. Also parents' names are not discouraged, unless it shows up at IB. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:09, 8 January 2024 (UTC)

Merger proposal

==Merger discussion for Gurugram Airstrip==

An article that you have been involved in editing—Gurugram Airstrip—has been proposed for merging with another article. If you are interested, please participate in the merger discussion. Thank you. Trinidade (talk) 05:26, 14 January 2024 (UTC)

Your thanks

I"m concerned about that editor and [1] Doug Weller talk 17:47, 16 January 2024 (UTC)

@Doug Weller: Seems like they want to promote [2] this commons user. This one might be a sock, I know a few working in this editing area, but no overlap till now. Judging from these images, I believe I've seen similar activity a year ago. I've to check. Thanks for the heads up. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 17:59, 16 January 2024 (UTC)
Thank you. I’ll look at this more tomorrow but I think you are probably right. I may wait until you find more. Doug Weller talk 18:31, 16 January 2024 (UTC)

To add origin word of Hindu Tarkhan(carpenter)

Tarkhan is corrupt version of sanskrit word Takshaka(तक्षक) which means carpenter. adding info about architecture and 'vaastu' in a caste/community is important because the word Takshaka comes from ancient architecture and 'vaastu. I hope you will understand and do some deep research on word Tarkhan to add the truth about caste and community. pls go through my recent edit. Vishwabrahman52 (talk) 13:32, 18 January 2024 (UTC)

@Vishwabrahman52: Nothing like that was mentioned in any of the sources you added. It was plain original research from your part. Besides you have removed existing sources and sourced content as well as added info on architecture and vaastu which are irrelevant in a a caste article. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 13:44, 18 January 2024 (UTC)

@FI.214: Talk in English. Other people are watching my page. Wikipedia uses WP:COMMONNAMEs, not official or government names. This is the reason why Germany isn't called Bundesrepublik Deutschland in Wikipedia. Also moves require discussion. You are making unilateral moves. You got blocked before for your activity. Abide by Wikipedia policies and guidelines. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 14:42, 18 January 2024 (UTC)

Can the 'blp sources' template be removed from the Akriti Kakar article now? Ahmed Reza Khan (talk) 17:57, 21 January 2024 (UTC)

@Ahmed Reza Khan: I've removed it. Also replaced BollywwodShaadis source with a WP:ICTF complaint one. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 18:08, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
