Prayagraj

English-language news media can also be very reliable sources. Due caution must be given to the possibility of bias in some, such as for nationalistic, religious or political reasons. However, major global sources are generally reliable, such as major authoritative English-language newspapers (examples: The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Times of London) or wire services (examples: Reuters, Associated Press). Google News and Lexis-Nexis search results can provide a quick guide to the relative predominance of alternative names across the media as a whole, provided the search parameters are properly set, but as with all raw search numbers, they should be used with caution. Thus in various news channel such as The Washington Post( here is the link https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2021/05/06/india-social-media-covid-19/ ) and the BBC News too is addressing this city as Prayagraj. So its should be like Prayagraj, formally known as Allahabad . Deoghar Airport

Hi, hope you're doing great. Humble request you to kindly have a look on an article named "Deoghar Airport". A user named "Alotorus" is adding a connecting flight/ layover flights in airlines and destination section of Deoghar Airport. I told him not to add this connecting flights as it against Wikipedia policies but he won't listen and he keeps reverting the edits done by me and some other user. The news citation attached by him clearly states that this is a connecting flight not the direct one's. Please kindly look into it. Thanks Flashthomsom (talk) 19:33, 7 July 2022 (UTC)

Are you a Sikh? What knowledge do u have towards Sikh surnames?

if you are then only you can edit Punjabi Sikh wikipedias since you will have the knowledge of Which surnames belongs to which caste otherwise stick to Islamic wikipedia. Virk Khatri (talk) 15:56, 8 July 2022 (UTC)

@Virk Khatri: For a comment like this I might report you to the admins. Maintain WP:CIVIL and Wikipedia articles do not belong to you, take a look at WP:OWN. You have added unreliable sources and content, thus have been deleted. Bring reliable scholarly source in the talk page of the article and get WP:CONSENSUS. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:59, 8 July 2022 (UTC)

How to cite this item

Hi, Can you prepare the citation for these items. I am writing an article and this one has good stuff on the topic. Also, do we need to archive the material from JSTOR ? I think they'll be accessible everytime, as it's a collection, unlike newspaper links.Admantine123 (talk) 09:23, 11 July 2022 (UTC)

Basically, i am seeking error message in display of these citations, when i tried to cite them. `Admantine123 (talk) 09:40, 11 July 2022 (UTC)

@Admantine123: had problems with cite book, using cite journal per suggestion at cite:jstor. See[1][2] - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:02, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
Thanks a lot, you didn't reply on my second question? About need to archive these sources, i wish even after my death too, these sources be there on Wikipedia and available. :)Admantine123 (talk) 10:11, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
@Admantine123: I don't have much knowledge on the archiving process here in Wikipedia. I use "Wayback machine" whenever I come across deadlinks. Perhaps you can ask at the village pump. And let me know if you discover something new, it would be helpful . - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:18, 11 July 2022 (UTC)

Need your help

Hey, I need your help with some guidance in the following pages: Ahom kingdom, Pala dynasty (Kamarupa), Koch dynasty. I am unsure how to best address edits not done in WP:GF. Cannot WP:AGF any longer. Chaipau (talk) 17:48, 14 February 2022 (UTC)

@Chaipau: Haven't seen this kind of edit war in years. Holy.. Should we report them to ANI or ping an admin in the article talk page? It needs to stop. I thought it would be better to ping you here regarding this. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 16:21, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
Yes. We need to report them. This happened even as I was writing a note in the talk page for some serious issues around these issues. The two persons represent two different ethnic groups, is my sense. And we have been seeing one of them earlier and we have a train of socks. Chaipau (talk) 16:24, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
We need some help—Wikipedia is increasingly becoming the target of ethnic politics in Assam. Chaipau (talk) 11:23, 1 April 2022 (UTC)
What do you suggest I do? I am having a hard time getting the Wikipedia community to take an interest in what I consider an assault by SPAs. I think we have seen them in the past too. Chaipau (talk) 14:41, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
@Chaipau: Should we request admins RegentsPark and Abecedare to look into the matter? - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 14:56, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
Yes, that's a good suggestion. I shall write a note on their talk pages. Chaipau (talk) 15:15, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
@Chaipau: Thanks. This is the only thing that came to my mind. Being admins and having some idea on this topic area, they could suggest something better IMO. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:44, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
Does this ring a bell?[1] Chaipau (talk) 09:44, 11 April 2022 (UTC)
@Chaipau: Obviously lol. That SF is the first one to strike. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 09:46, 11 April 2022 (UTC)
@Chaipau: Thought of pinging you here about the similar POV push. Opened a case. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 08:59, 10 May 2022 (UTC)

The engagement style in Khen dynasty in some recent edits seems very familiar. Chaipau (talk) 16:24, 23 May 2022 (UTC)

Sigh. The never ending story at Rajbanshi people. We are again back to square one. Chaipau (talk) 12:36, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
@Chaipau: New user knows about MOS:IS [2]. Obvious sock of PNIE. We should file an SPI. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 13:12, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
Yes, I agree. But HG hasn't been connected yet to PNIE, but I left a note with Bbb23. Could you please have a look. Thanks. Chaipau (talk) 13:19, 25 July 2022 (UTC)

Request regarding page Zubeen Garg

Hi @Fylindfotberserk:,. Regarding this diff and this diff, the user Discographymen should be taken to WP:ANI for repeated vandalism. Can you please as I am not experienced at ANI? - Signed by NeverTry4Me Talk 08:52, 30 July 2022 (UTC)

@NeverTry4Me: Opened a discussion at Talk:Zubeen Garg#July 2022 per WP:BRD. Hope they respond there. That article is plagued by these kind of edits for quite sometime, resulting in some users getting banned for disruptions like these as well as sock puppetry. Admin Cyphoidbomb was aware of this. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 09:12, 30 July 2022 (UTC)
