September 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article List of common misconceptions, please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. This list is particularly tricky . . . you'll need a source that bananas are actually herbs, and another source that people believe otherwise. ~TPW 12:25, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

And here I thought adding a personal note would make a template message more warm and friendly. Ah well, tools are there for a reason. (I get that you weren't actually offended, but in truth I don't agree with not using templates if they communicate exactly what is intended. They're a convenient shorthand.) As to the actual banana thing, yes, I would say that the reference needs to be in the list, even if it's in the banana article. I hadn't heard that myself!--~TPW 12:42, 28 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
