Thank you for tagging eminent domain. Could you please expand and clarify what parts of the page specifically you find to have problems based on your re-introduction of the tags? Some of your points may have already been resolved (I removed the global viewpoint tag for example). If you could indicate to the other editors what might be problematic then we can address them. Image copyright problem with Image:Milton S. Hershey Medical Center College of Medicine.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Milton S. Hershey Medical Center College of Medicine.gif. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Navboxes

All baseball team navboxes must match and are color coded to go with their teams. Please do not simply change one navbox; discuss on the talk page first. Thank you! KV5Squawk boxFight on! 00:52, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

I'll attach my comment to this one since they both deal with basic navbox problems, and I'll leave a comment on Template_talk:Colleges_and_Universities_in_Pennsylvania#Size and Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Universities#Colleges and Universities in Pennsylvania, as well. I wanted to point out WP:NAV and say that your template is really big, and I'd even go so far as to say too big. I'd also argue that no one would need a navbox for all the institutions of higher education in PA that a list couldn't handle better (see WP:CLN). Perhaps, as suggested by one of the guidelines, separates templates, like one for liberal arts colleges in PA or something, might be more manageable, though breaking up institutions of higher education by type can get dicey not only because definitions are so lax but also because type is often tied more to matters of status and prestige than utility. --Aepoutre (talk) 16:32, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

Addition of logos to college sports conference pages

You can't add these logos the way you have. WP:LOGO is worth a read on this. Specifically, non-free logos must have a fair use rationale and are never allowed in lists or that sort of thing. Additionally, as I mentioned in the edit summary on one of the reversions, we're currently discussing the extent to which college logos can be used at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content/RFC on use of sports team logos‎ so we're trying not to add or remove logos from pages while that discussion is ongoing. I'm quite liberal on the use of logos but policy and common practice don't allow them to be used in lists this way. Oren0 (talk) 08:11, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

Please do not remove the hidden tags from the starting pitcher for 2009 Opening Day. Many circumstances, including injury, could transpire to make this change. In addition, there is no result for the game and the table is not comprehensive if this is added. I am currently trying to get this list through a featured list nomination; persistance in re-adding this information could cause the list to fail. If you have an issue with what is currently written there, please discuss it on the talk page. Thank you. KV5Squawk boxFight on! 02:34, 16 February 2009 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of List of Alpha Sigma Phi Chapters, Colonies, and Interest Groups

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article List of Alpha Sigma Phi Chapters, Colonies, and Interest Groups, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. 16x9 (talk) 14:06, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Jeff Dunham

Please do not add content without citing reliable sources, as you did to Jeff Dunham. The content has been removed. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. (Diff) Nightscream (talk) 01:57, 24 March 2009 (UTC)

Edit summaries

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary, as you forgot on your recent edit to Robert Irvine. I know you are not exactly a "new" Wiki editor, but you do not seem to leave these on any of your edits. It especially stands out on the more controversial ones if you cannot explain why you did it. Orphaned non-free media (File:Penn State Two tone University Mark.png)

Thanks for uploading File:Penn State Two tone University Mark.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. Tagging

Just came across some of your edits on Pennsylvania State University. I appreciate your intentions to improve the article by adding editorial tags, but inline tags after every phrase is disruptive and considered overtagging. Please review WP:TAGBOMB and consider conservatively using section-wide tags instead of inline tags when appropriate. —Eustress talk 03:10, 21 September 2009 (UTC)

I have nominated Penn State University Police, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Penn State University Police. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Hey Flyguy33, we are currently in the process of switching over all NFLretired infoboxes to NFLactive, due to the NFLactive Infobox now able to support retired players. Eagles 24/7 (C) 23:53, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

NFL records

Hi, Flyguy33. I just noticed that another editor deleted your "NFL records" section at Philadelphia Eagles. To avoid an edit war, you might wish to create a new article, e.g., "List of Philadelphia Eagles league records". (I originally sent this message to Eagles247, as I mistakenly thought he was the creator of the "NFL records" section. He kindly informed me that you were the creator.) Go, Eagles! Needed merge for Alpha Sigma Phi chapter lists

I noticed that you were the original creator of the page List of Alpha Sigma Phi Chapters, Colonies, and Interest Groups about a year ago. However there is also a List of Alpha Sigma Phi chapters page which was created earlier. They appear to have somewhat the same information, so I think a merge would be good. Since you were the original creator of the later page, I thought that you might want to do it. If not, I can just put up a proposed merge template on both pages.Naraht (talk) 02:52, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

You are now a Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 19:32, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. When you make a change to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Bobby Simone. Continued flouting of wp:ES#Always provide an edit summary

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. When you make a change to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to ESPN on ABC. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit. It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you.

Wikipedia relies on wp:consensus, and our all adhering to its guidelines.

One such is wp:ES#Always provide an edit summary. Please adhere to it, or state why the consensus doesn't apply in your case. Trafford09 (talk) 06:47, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Widener University School of Law, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you.

Well, you continue to ignore Wikipedia wp:consensus on wp:ES#Always provide an edit summary. Nor do you state why the consensus doesn't apply in your case. To me, that's vandalism. What do you think? Trafford09 (talk) 12:53, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

I've been on Wikipedia for years, and you are the only one who has every harassed me. I'd appreciate it if you stop now. --Flyguy33 (talk) 6:00 pm, Today (UTC+1)

Thank you for discussing the issue. Please don't take it as harassment, if you give / receive a warning. It's nothing personal, but more a comment on the content - or lack of.

I note that I'm not the first to raise the issue of Edit Summaries though. Above here is a section that reads:

"Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary, as you forgot on your recent edit to Robert Irvine. I know you are not exactly a "new" Wiki editor, but you do not seem to leave these on any of your edits. It especially stands out on the more controversial ones if you cannot explain why you did it. Atlantabravz (talk) 11:06, 30 March 2009 (UTC)".

We all enjoy Wikipedia, and the free rights that it gives us. But with that come a few small responsibilities, one of which is to follow wp:consensus, which includes wp:ES#Always provide an edit summary.

Don't you approve of consensus? Are you a special editor, and it doesn't apply to you?

Or would you consider setting a good example to newcomers, and provide summaries? Trafford09 (talk) 17:26, 13 September 2010 (UTC)

October 2010

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Jayson Stark. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Trafford09 (talk) 09:08, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
