- With CITEKILL, we need one excellent reference per fact asserted. If you are sure it is beneficial, two, and at an absolute maximum, three. A fact you assert, once verified in a reliable source, is verified. More is gilding the lily. Spinster300 (talk) 18:05, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
- @Spinster300 Thanks for your review and feedback. Their sources as a television personality and actress are the most significant I could find. I don’t think that was enough on its own, but the coverage I found about their marketing career covers the subject in depth in my opinion. Filmforme (talk) 18:15, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
- Dear Filmforme, thank you for writing in. From what I could gauge, even the sources covering the subject's marketing career were more about the bar she worked for, and less about the subject herself. An article about the subject's workplace in USA Today or Bon Appétit is not an article about the subject herself. Since they are subscription only, I seek your clarification – do these articles simply mention the subject at her job position at the bars (for example, in a quote about the article's topic), or do they detail in several paragraphs what the subject has done while employed at that business? That is what makes the difference. The news article titles at present give the impression that the subject might only have been mentioned in passing within the article. All in all, I think this is a case of WP:TOOSOON, and that the subject will be more notable in the future. If her work in reality TV has garnered significant coverage, but no one source goes into significant detail about her life or career, then we can consider shortening the article to the bare minimum facts as to why she should be included on here in the first place, and leave it at that for the time being. I await your thoughts. Kind regards, Spinster300 (talk) 18:36, 7 October 2023 (UTC).
- @Spinster300 Thanks for clarifying further. Both sources quote them, but also discuss the work they do at their business. The Bon Appétit source talks about them more than just quoting them. For the source at USA Today, I included an archived link which does bypass the subscription requirement. It's similar to the Bon Appétit source but more in depth; they are quoted more here, though I do agree the article is not entirely about them.
- I was hesitant to publish about their former work on TV, because most of the information I could find was not reliable or what I consider significant. I think what I've included is significant and reliable, and they were the best sources I could find. But they are all related to facts about them as they happened on the show. Thanks for your insight. – Filmforme (talk) 19:19, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
- Dear Filmforme, thank you kindly for your response. If you would like to, please develop the draft with as many reliable sources you can find. However, I think that in this subject's case, it would be a safer bet to wait until there is significant coverage on them and their career as the main topic from reliable sources. In case it is already there in print, and unavailable online, please add that in to the article. Non-online sources (books and magazines) are acceptable, as long as someone with access can verify them. Kind regards, Spinster300 (talk) 19:39, 7 October 2023 (UTC).
- @Spinster300 I'll keep an eye out for more info. I'm considering publishing as is if other opinions say otherwise. Worse case, you think it is likely notable enough to be moved back to draftspace? Filmforme (talk) 20:02, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
- Dear Filmforme, it is advisable to let drafts pass through WP:AfC. A good rule of thumb for submitting a good draft over at AfC is to imagine if the article is likely to survive a WP:AfD discussion, keeping in mind the various different notability guidelines and criteria for inclusion, such as WP:BASIC, WP:THREE, and WP:ANYBIO (among many others), that would warrant that article's inclusion into the encyclopaedia. From what I see on your user and talk pages, you have quite a good track record of this.
- It might also be useful for you to take a a look at the WP:PYRAMID guideline, to understand how it is more advisable to put all the significant and notable information first, and to wisely start shorter drafts/articles (called stubs) over at AfC. This would save your time editing as well as the time of reviewers, as there is less data to sieve through and corroborate. These stubs, once accepted, can be expanded and improved into proper articles; fun fact – many A-list Hollywood actors', musicians', and celebrities' articles started out as stubs. Kind regards, Spinster300 (talk) 20:20, 7 October 2023 (UTC).
- @Spinster300 Thanks for the info, you've been very helpful. I almost always start with WP:AFC especially when it comes to WP:BLP. I have found that smaller drafts get reviewed quicker, but sometimes it takes more than 3 or 4 sources to verify notability. The queue at AfC has been much longer than the few weeks it used to be and I don't always get very detailed responses like I've had from you. So thank you.
- WP:PYRAMID really helps for larger articles. I need to get in the habit of that method more often. Can I ping you for other drafts too? The specifics you provide are helpful if a draft is declined, rather than the generic response I get from other users most of the time. Filmforme (talk) 20:34, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
- Dear Filmforme, you are very welcome! And yes, that is the nature of AfC. The backlog was the reason why I volunteered to sign up as a reviewer. And yes of course! Please feel free to reach out if you want me to see your other drafts. Kind regards, Spinster300 (talk) 21:03, 7 October 2023 (UTC).

- @Spinster300 Thanks, I've cleaned up based on your suggestions. Should I resubmit it? Filmforme (talk) 19:46, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
- Dear Filmforme, I think the article requires some more copyediting, especially the removal of several statements that are not considered encyclopaedic. There are also some wiki linking issues which I will clean up. Kind regards, Spinster300 (talk) 19:54, 7 October 2023 (UTC).
- @Spinster300 Thanks. Permission granted if there is anything you want to change. I can resubmit or move to article space when you think it's good to go. Filmforme (talk) 19:57, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
- Dear Filmforme, please take a look at the draft as I have edited it. All irrelevant information to her life and career was removed and the unnecessary sectioning was made more concise. The citation formatting has also been made as per the WP:MOS. Please provide citations for her education. Please also expand on her education, and her dubbing and theatre work if reliable sources support information that is interesting and notable. I will have a look when you are done. Kind regards, Spinster300 (talk) 21:07, 7 October 2023 (UTC).
- @Spinster300 Thanks, here's a link where I found their education and additional credits. I am unsure about its reliability as it looks to be self-published. Filmforme (talk) 21:50, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
- Dear Filmforme, please remove those claims from the draft for the time being. I also think that the draft is good to go, so you may resubmit it.
- Going forward, I would like you to note that primary sources (within reason) can sometimes be used to verify miscellaneous facts about a subject, but they can never be used to establish notability. A good example for this is using a self-published, primary source (such as a social media or blog post) to verify a subject's birth date or death date.
- However, some primary sources are better than others – think, a celebrity's autobiography published by Simon & Schuster (who likely have some editorial control of the content and are more likely to do their due diligence in fact-checking what the celebrity claims about themselves) is more reliable than a celebrity's Instagram post which could potentially be misleading or advertising or a hoax.
- I sincerely hope these insights help. Kind regards, Spinster300 (talk) 22:25, 7 October 2023 (UTC).
- @Spinster300 Understood. I have resubmitted. Thank you for all the details and specifics. Filmforme (talk) 22:30, 7 October 2023 (UTC)

- @Spinster300 Thanks. Permission granted if there is anything you want to change. I can resubmit or move to article space when you think it's good to go. Filmforme (talk) 19:57, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
- Dear Filmforme, I think the article requires some more copyediting, especially the removal of several statements that are not considered encyclopaedic. There are also some wiki linking issues which I will clean up. Kind regards, Spinster300 (talk) 19:54, 7 October 2023 (UTC).
- @Spinster300 Thanks, I've cleaned up based on your suggestions. Should I resubmit it? Filmforme (talk) 19:46, 7 October 2023 (UTC)
