March 2018[edit]

Hello, and welcome to editing Wikipedia. I hope you have a successful time here. However, the article you have created is really not suitable for a number of reasons, including the following. It does not make it clear who it is about. It is largely formatted as a list of names and fragmentary clauses, rather than as coherent text written in sentences. Much of it is not in proper English. However, by far the most serious problem is that it consists largely, and probably entirely, of content copied from one or more other web sites. It is almost never suitable to copy content from another web site to Wikipedia, for more than one reason, the most important being copyright. When you post anything to Wikipedia you release it for anyone in the world to reuse it, either unchanged or modified in any way whatever, subject to attribution to Wikipedia. It is very rare that the owner of a web site licenses content for such very free reuse, and in those few occasions when they do so, we require proof of the fact. We don't assume that content is freely licensed on the unsubstantiated say so of just anyone who comes along and creates a Wikipedia account.. We certainly can't accept content which has previously been published on a web page which bears the copyright notice "Copyright 2018,All rights reserved by Alireza motevaseli". The page has therefore been deleted.

My advice to new editors is that it is best to start by making small improvements to existing articles, rather than creating new articles. That way any mistakes you make will be small ones, and you won't have the discouraging experience of repeatedly seeing hours of work deleted. Gradually, you will get to learn how Wikipedia works, and after a while you will know enough about what is acceptable to be able to write whole new articles without fear that they will be deleted. Over the years I have found that editors who start by making small changes to existing articles and work up from there have a far better chance of having a successful time here than those who jump right into creating new articles from the start. Information icon Welcome, and thank you for contributing the page علیرضا متوسلی to Wikipedia. While you have added the page to the English version of Wikipedia, the article is not in English. We invite you to translate it into English. It has been listed at Pages Needing Translation, but if it is not translated within two weeks, the article will be listed for deletion. Thank you. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on علیرضا متوسلی, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Fagottii, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to علیرضا متوسلی have been removed, as they appear to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. CAPTAIN RAJU(T) 13:38, 24 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Continuing editing problems[edit]

I see that after I posted my message above you have continued to create pages which infringe copyright, including reposting an almost identical copy of an article which had previously been deleted for copyright reasons. If you continue to introduce inappropriate pages to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Also, much of what you posted was, as I have already said, not in coherent English. To give just one example, although "he started to studding music" is made entirely out of English words, it does not make sense in English. From the content in which it occurred, I guess that "studding" was meant to be "studying"; if so it is possible to say either "started to study" or "started studying", but not "started to studying". Releasing copyright[edit]

I am writing in answer to your message on my talk page. Normally, I answer a message on the page where it was posted, to avoid conversations becoming fragmented, but it seems to me that it is more likely to be helpful to you to have the information available on your talk page, so I am copying your message here and answering it below. Hello Mr James B Watson i noticed that you have been deleted my paged named "Alireza Motevaseli" because of 2 reason 1-copyright (one of them was my official website how can i prove this ? what evidence you need ?) 2-gramatically points in main text ( i will corrected them at once if i have access to Alireza Motevaseli's page) i would to correct the mistakes

how can i edit the page again ?i don't have any access to the previous page! should i create the page once again ?or it can be editable ? ... can you help me please? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fagottii (talkcontribs) 07:28, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, the deeltion was purely because of copyright concerns. The grammatical errors were not part of the reason for deletion, as they could easily have been put right; I just mentioned that because I thought it might be helpful for you to know.
Information about releasing copyright in material that you own so that you can post it to Wikipedia is given in the page Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The most relevant part for you is the section headed Granting us permission to copy material already online. Probably the easiest way to do it, since you own the web site, is to post a notice on the web page saying that you license the content under the relevant licenses.
If you do provide proof of copyright licensing then let me know, and I will restore the deleted page so that you can edit it. It might be best to temporarily put it in a draft page until you have corrected it. Alternatively, I can email the contents to you if you would like me to.
The fact that you say you own a web site about Alireza Motevaseli suggests that either you are Alireza Motevaseli or you have a connection to him. In either of those two cases you should read Wikipedia's guideline on conflict of interest. Very often people who edit about themselves or about someone to whom they have a connection edit in problematic ways because of difficulty in writing in an objective and neutral way. I didn't see any major problem in what you posted, though language such as "had a great Honor" is expressing an opinion, and is not neutral reporting, but in any case you should be aware of what that guideline says. The copyrights problem solved[edit]

Thanks JamesBWatson" (talk) i have been changed the copyright setting of my own website and completely removed from the footer you can check it now for prove

And i would to remove the other one because it's not my own website and i have no access to it Really thanks for you helps about grammatical points and the other problems you may inform me about them Would you please restore my page again? JamesBWatson" (talk) Fagottii (talk) 18:44, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Which is your web site? Is it alirezamotevaseli.musicaneo.com? Whichever site it is, is there a statement there that the content is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike 3.0 Unported License and the GNU Free Documentation License? As you will see if you follow the link to Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials#Granting us permission to copy material already online that is what is needed (unless you wish to release the content into the public domain). It is not enough just to remove mention of copyright, there needs to be an actual statement either that the content is freely licensed or that it is released into the public domain. If the web site does say that, can you give me a link to the particular web page in question, and tell me the actual wording of the copyright notice, so that I can find it? Sorry if this seems to be making a big deal out of a small detail, but it is Wikipedia policy, and we do very often get people making false claims of owning copyright, so even though I am confident you are not doing that, we really do need to follow th policy. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 19:34, 31 March
Ok .... My official website is "fagott.ir" you can find no copyright sign there and i've removed copyright sign completely from whole website so i think it will be acceptable

And about The other link with copyright issue i would to remove it completely from the page because it's not so important thing Let me know if you have other difficulties with my page i will correct them at once thanks JamesBWatson" (talk) Fagottii (talk) 12:18, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You seem not to have grasped the point that it is not enough for there to be nothing on the page saying that the content is not released for free use: we need a clear statement that it is released for free use. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 20:14, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ok igot it. I corrected the copyright issue as you wish edited to content is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike 3.0 Unported License and the GNU Free Documentation License You can check it now on my website "fagott.ir"

JamesBWatson" (talk)

OK, I have confirmed that the web site now says "Copyright©2018 ,the content is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike 3.0 Unported License and the GNU Free Documentation License", so I have restored the deleted article. I have also made a few minor improvements to English and punctuation. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 09:36, 2 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
