December 2013[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. We always appreciate when users upload new images. However, it appears that one or more of the images you have recently uploaded or added to an article may fail our non-free image policy. Most often, this involves editors uploading or using a copyrighted image of a living person. For other possible reasons, please read up on our Non-free image criteria. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. See WP:NFC#UUI #14 Werieth (talk) 05:38, 28 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Every single college football team individual seasons' page has their logo (see 2008 Florida State Seminoles football team for one of hundreds of examples).FAUowl (talk) 05:40, 28 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict)That is a case of free verses non-free media. Free files can be used in many ways, however the usage of non-free media is highly restricted. Werieth (talk) 05:43, 28 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That's because we are free to use the Florida State logo. Per its license, the logo is not (or no longer) under copyright. So, unless FAU is willing to donate its logo for unlimited commercial use, we can't use its logo the same way we can use FSU's. —C.Fred (talk) 05:42, 28 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
