Spam in Map of Bones

It could well be an English dialect issue – the word is often used in this way in the Commonwealth but probably not so much in the US, judging by your edit summary. Your recent edit to Thomas Jefferson School of Law appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person or organization added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists.
