Portland Pirates[edit]

While your intentions are good, please hold off on editing Pirates related pages to show a past team. For at least a couple more weeks (as stated by the AHL in the approval of the conditional sale of the Falcons to the AZ Coyotes), the sale and relocation are still in the "pending" stage on the condition that the AZ Coyotes work out the details of relocating the Falcons and then AHL BOG approves the Pirates transactions. While it may be 99.99999% likely the Pirates will relocate by June 2016, WP:NOTCRYSTAL says we cannot just assume something will happen (weird things happen sometimes in sales, just see Potential National Hockey League expansion#Hamilton when the sale and relocation of several teams over the years was basically agreed upon by the two parties but failed for many reasons).
