Prairie School Architecture difference on Sullivan, Louis

Hey, just writing back about the prairie school architecture thing for Sullivan. I went back to check it out and it's pretty divided as to whether he was the father, founder, or grandfather so I put in "considered by many" to be the creator of the Prairie school. I think this might be overstating my case a bit, but I think that his involvement should get a mention in the article but maybe not so prominent as to be in his bio, which is why I put it back in the top paragraph. If you can think of a way to say it without, like I said, overstating the case, please do so.

I feel that now I have rambled on for far too long about something you could care less about, but I hope I've made my position clear.

Metropolitan populations

The census has not changed, but the original posting was in error. Something must be wrong as the US census has the South Florida population at over 5 million.

One thing that may be confusing is what counties are included. When South Florida is mentioned, even on Wikipedia, [[2]] Miami-Dade, Broward and West Palm Beach Counties are counted together as 'South Florida’ Whomever posted the original Metropolitan area populations on Wikipedia, only counted Miami-Dade and Broward County, leaving out West Palm Beach County.

I am reverting the page back to having South Florida at #10 as the facts from the US Census show the population at over 5 million. Here are some pages with those facts, including pages from the US Census itself.

I guess it comes down to what is the 'official' meaning of what South Florida is. In the article that I have given you, the MSA does say the 3 counties, not just Miami and Broward. But I guess you should also change the South Florida Wikipage as well if you don’t want West Palm included, as it is included on the South Florida page. Actually if you look at the Metropolitan page we are talking about, quite a lot of areas are in dispute of what they should include, take a look at the disscuions page about DC for example, I bet a lot of the figures on that page can be changed. --User:Xanxz 20:55, Nov 19, 2004 (UTC)

Palm Beach is apart of the Miami MSA

I don't know where you get your sources from, but the US census acknowledges the Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach tri-county area as a single metropolitan area (check this out for yourself --> http://www.census.gov/population/cen2000/phc-t29/tab01a.pdf

New Urbanism

Hi there, just letting you know that the Loreto bay and Serenbe additions to the Examples portion are not advertising. I have no vested interest in either of these projects other than the fact I happen to know about them through the company I work for. Both projects share many of the described components of new urbanism, and the Loreto Bay project directly uses the words in a leaflet description. Cleveland Metroparks and Zoo

Greetings. The text you removed from the Cleveland page was either orignal or based upon the Zoo's 01-Apr-05 press release. As such both paragraphs are public domain. I'm reinserting both. MARussellPESE 13:35, 3 October 2005 (UTC)

Articles based on press releases are copyright of the editor/author, not the holder of the original press release. That's not academic plagiarism –-- that's the point of a press release. The releaser wants that material out there for public consumption. Unless it's advertising, which is justifiably verboten in wikimedia, it's fair game.

As the Metroparks actually pass through Cleveland, and the Zoo is in the city, I'm not so sure that these should be kicked out. The Metroparks do deserve their own article

Reading this page, this isn't the first time you've been called for removing material without discussion. You might want to lighten up on the delete key. We're all in this together, no? MARussellPESE 13:02, 5 October 2005 (UTC)

As I recall, Eureka means "I have found it!" and what i think you just found was some oddness at Henry Hobson Richardson. I just discovered it too, but didn't know what to do so sent a message to someone that I think might. When I got back you had already reverted it. Many thanks, .. .. .. . . . . . One more thing. Pentawing suggested a "cityscape" section under geography, where we tell something about the architecture, the general appearance of the city, and so forth. He suggested Ann Arbor and Louisville as examples. I was thinking of something about Millionaires' Row, maybe something about the different areas of the West Side (the '50s-vintage houses west of W. 130, the older stuff in Ohio City, etc.), and so forth. Unfortunately, my brain is currently completely fried, and I can barely put a coherent sentence together.
