November 2009[edit]

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, as you did at User:Eronfalbo/Eron Falbo. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. WuhWuzDat 20:33, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

March 2012[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Kabbalah with this edit do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Calabe1992 01:22, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, Calabe, why did you revert edits I made in the Kabbalah article? I am attempting to make the article more universal and you are changing it back to more specific. If you want to create a more specific Kabbalah article, please do so, but the first one that appears should speak of general Kabbalah. A couple of your corrections don't make sense to me, please clarify. 1) Putting the JUDAISM box before the KABBALAH box? That seems religiously biased, to say the least. 2) Why do you capitalise Kabbalists? That is a function and should gramatically be lower case. 3) You corrects "an esoteric" to "a esoteric" - simple grammar? 4) "Jewish and otherwise" is more correct than "Jewish OR otherwise" because BOTH are disseminating the wisdom. 5) Why did you change "traditional canon of any organised religon" to "jewish scriptures" again? I insist, Kabbalah is not strictly Jewish and it is biased of you to attempt to keep it as such. 6) Realisation rather than realization - Wikipedia's standard for the English language is British English. 7-1000) the rest are for the same reasons. Please identify why you think it's ok to limit the scope of Kabbalah to your private considerations in a free open source encyclopedia. All the best! --Eronfalbo (talk) 09:55, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This diff contains a spam link. That was the reason for the revert (apologies for catching the other edits in the process, that was unintentional). But before making remarks like some of what you wrote above, I would read over WP:AGF and WP:OWN. Calabe1992 16:00, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Also, the standard is not British English. It depends on which country you're refering to. See WP:ENGVAR. Calabe1992 16:02, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Calabe, I'm sorry, but in my mind you spent hours just deleting what I had spent hours working on. I am new at this, so please bear with me. I intend on following the necessary directions to be able to contribute appropriately. Forgive me if I appeared defensive. Thanks for your help.--Eronfalbo (talk) 16:36, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, why was that link a spam link? It is a link to one of the Kabbalah schools mentioned in the article.--Eronfalbo (talk) 16:36, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Again, I apologise regarding your suggestion of 'assuming good faith' and the other one. In reality, I thought you were the one not doing so by deleting my contributions, though now I understand the confusion! Forgive my ignorance... there should be an article 'Forgive newb ignorance!' :) --Eronfalbo (talk) 16:50, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. If you have other questions you can leave them at my talk page. Calabe1992 00:30, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for March 16[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Kabbalah, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Golden Dawn (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
