Hello, Engineerchange. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "List of Automotive Hall of Fame inductees".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 18:24, 10 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Please let me know when you are finished editing this article because I'm losing edits from edit conflicts. Thanks, Semper fi! FieldMarine (talk) 13:41, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I will make a few edits about military service and let you know when done. Feel free to change/cleanup if you like. I'm having a hard time finding any details about his military service in reliable sources other than ROTC in college, and I will comment about that on the Talkpage. Please comment there if you have anything because I'm hitting dead ends. Semper Fi! FieldMarine (talk) 01:14, 12 January 2023 (UTC) Added some content on military service to the article and made comment on Talkpage. I'm done for now. Thanks! Semper Fi! Consider becoming Autopatrolled[edit]

Hello, Engineerchange.

I've seen you editing recently and you seem like an experienced Wikipedia editor.
Would you please consider applying to become an Autopatrolled editor? Editors with a good history of creating clean articles can obtain this user right which would significantly reduce the workload on our New page patrolling process. Articles created by users with this right are automatically marked as patrolled and does not require further manual reviewing. Currently Wikipedia needs experienced editors to have this role. But kindly read these points before making your decision. Thanks. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 22:17, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Autopatrolled granted[edit]

Hi Engineerchange, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.

Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.

Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! – Joe (talk) 10:29, 3 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

WikiTricky27 turns out to be a sockpuppet[edit]

Thought you might like to know. Any or all of their edits can be reversed. Doug Weller talk 20:49, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Doug Weller: appreciate the note, didn't realize a sockpuppet investigation was filed, but definitely was suspect of them being the same person. Honestly, I'd appreciate a second pair of eyes on John Speed (Kentucky); I thought the addition of large quotations was superfluous to getting across the point, but just don't know. As an editor who does his best to stay away from this kind of nonsense, it was a frustrating situation. Cheers, --Engineerchange (talk) 21:15, 4 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

DYK nomination of Adam W. Oberlin[edit]

Hello! Your submission of Adam W. Oberlin at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and some issues with it may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) at your nomination's entry and respond there at your earliest convenience. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Orygun (talk) 04:27, 12 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Orygun: I'm a bit unclear on the process, but is there really anything I need to clarify? I added a comment about it being my 2nd DYK, so not sure I have an action? --Engineerchange (talk) 05:21, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Adam W. Oberlin[edit]

On 9 September 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Adam W. Oberlin, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Adam W. Oberlin, the 1917 Republican nominee to be the mayor of Canton, Ohio, went missing and was found seven months later working as a carpenter in Norfolk, Virginia? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Adam W. Oberlin. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Adam W. Oberlin), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
