Exposé[edit]

Hi Kyle. The tables and formatting for the Exposé discography don't look right to me. Could you have a look and if you have the time correct it? Thanks. Caden cool 23:40, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, fix the albums as well. Thanks. Caden cool 22:12, 5 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You did a great job with the singles section. Thanks for that. Could you do the same for the studio albums section? Caden cool 19:51, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's okay, no rush. Just whenever you have some free time. Thanks. Caden cool 21:07, 16 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Wow that was fast! Thanks Kyle :) Caden cool 20:39, 17 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Kansas[edit]

Done. ChrisTofu11961 (talk) 21:11, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, would you be so kind as to tell me your reasoning for changing the widths from 40 back to 35? I don't believe the word country fits into 35, and here it even appears you agree with that. Also if you are going to change it back for whatever your reasoning could be, I feel it would be polite to mention it in your edit summary and not try to hide it and blend it in with another edit, which comes across as slightly disrespectful. Thank you. Nowyouseeme | wanna chat? 18:16, 26 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Brother Clyde[edit]

Thanks for the heads-up on the new Wikipedia page, I will look into that soon. Roughstock put up something about the band a couple days ago on their website, it described the band a bit and the new single. CloversMallRat (talk) 23:06, 2 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Listening to "Lately" now and its not half bad until it turns into a bad hip hop jam. All-in-all I'm not too thrilled about the direction they seem to be going in. I like country music, but hate rock music, so this project might not allign very well with my taste. The album has a duet w/ Dolly Parton on it though, that sounds pretty cool. CloversMallRat (talk) 00:47, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Lol, well I hope this brings some success to him, but I want him to come back to country music ASAP, 'cause this ain't my kind of music. CloversMallRat (talk) 16:38, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I noticed in the photos for Brother Clyde that he was wearing a bandana and looked like a rocker. So add the new look to the list of things I don't like about this band, I suppose. Lol. CloversMallRat (talk) 17:09, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm only looking forward to hearing the Dolly Parton collaboration, 'cause I'm pretty convinced this record is a lot more rock-leaning than I was hoping it would be. CloversMallRat (talk) 17:13, 3 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If I Die Young[edit]

Hehe, your welcome! I had been wanting to make the article for it for awhile now, and finally had some time to do it. It definitely needs a page, as I expect it will wind up being a Top 10 at the very least by the time its done, and its already charted on the Hot 100, something the first single didn't quite manage. Plus, this is 10x better than "Hip to My Heart," which I hated, lol. CloversMallRat (talk) 23:54, 19 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well that's more than me, but thats probably because I don't listen to the radio that often. I can listen to it all I want on my computer though when I'm at home, lol. CloversMallRat (talk) 23:58, 19 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Your not the first person lately I've seen mention this "Sirius" radio, must be pretty popular. I just pull up my Windows Media Player and set it to play at random and its like my own little country radio, hehe. It likes to play Sara Evans a lot, lol. CloversMallRat (talk) 00:02, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Big Time Rush[edit]

I have no clue whatever that thing is, lol, but thanks! I feel like a school teacher at times and everyone else editing that page is the class of kindgergartners shoving glue sticks up their noses, haha. CloversMallRat (talk) 04:02, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Blake Shelton discography[edit]

I didn't say EP's are studio albums!!! So I changed studio albums to studio releases. Are you trying to say Hillbilly Bone and All About Tonight are not produced in the studio? If they are, then I think they should be put together with all other studio albums. Yes, no other discographies had pick up this idea yet, but it doesn't mean it can't be done. Langdon (talk) 19:00, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You listed a lot of examples about albums and EP's separated in other discographies. The merging of album and EP sections is a new idea of organizing discographies, and it wasn't picked up in other discographies. "It has never been done before" certainly is not a good reason for any new changes. I think EPs and albums are similar. They are just different in # of tracks. Imagine a 8-track EP is later re-released with 2 new bonus track. Is it still an EP? This is the problem in Lady Gaga's The Fame Monster. Langdon (talk) 19:31, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know.. I mean it's only like a remix, Taylor Swift's "Love Story", "You Belong with Me", and "Teardrops on My Guitar" & Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now" all have 'pop' remixes, but it isn't noted in the music video section of their discos. It's kinda the same thing with "Hey, Soul Sister" except just backwards, but it you feel its notable go ahead and add it back, it'd be cool with me. Billy Ray - SoundScan sales[edit]

According to Nielsen SoundScan, Some Gave All sold over 7,4 million copies, but SoundScan doesn't count the music club sales, that until the end of the '90s, was a great market. Infact Some Gave All sold nearly 1,1 million units only in the BMG Music Club (until 2003) http://www.mi2n.com/press.php3?press_nb=47877 Furthermore, in the early '90s SoundScan covered nearly 60% of the country and not the 95% like now. I think that we would remove the SoundScan sales of Some Gave All and Storm in the Heartland in the column of the discography. SJ (talk) 22:33, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, but they aren't complete for the reasons listed above. Some Gave All was certified 9× Platinum in 1996 and according to SoundScan database sold over 7,4 million copies until 2009. If you include the BMG Music Club sales (updated in 2003), it sold over 8,5 million copies and with every probability with the other music clubs arrives at 9 million copies. SJ (talk) 22:45, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey buddy[edit]

Hey, hope you are having a great vacation! When you get back hit me up on my talk page about it and lemme know how it went. =) CloversMallRat (talk) 06:38, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Glad you had lots of fun! I've never been to Nashville, was it awesome? I think I'd like to go someday, since its like the capitol of "country music" and all. I didn't go on any vacations this summer... but next summer I am hopefully going to France, so I need to save up some money for that, hehe. CloversMallRat (talk) 20:54, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That's cool. It would've been awesome if it was like all the country artists are out and about in town. I would love that! Go to fill up gas and bump into Dolly Parton buying some booze and see Trace Adkins gettin' a hair cut as you walk past the barber or somethin'... lol. CloversMallRat (talk) 21:29, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You should try getting it off Amazon. I use it a lot for albums that I can't find in stores... particularly old ones, but I'm sure they are your best bet for this unless those stores are getting it in soon. I wouldn't be surprised though, I don't think there seems to be a lot of interest surrounding the band; I don't hear anything about it. CloversMallRat (talk) 21:39, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well I haven't heard much, but then again I'm not really interested like you are, lol. Oh and have you seen pictures of him lately? The mullet is back! hehe CloversMallRat (talk) 21:43, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I saw them on Yahoo! ... they do a weekly "What Were They Thinking?" and he was in one of the recent ones for his revival of the mullet, lol. CloversMallRat (talk) 21:46, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I had to go look it up again. Here it is: Billy Ray's Mullet CloversMallRat (talk) 21:56, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yup, my thoughts exactly. I can understand he liked it way back when, but its not fashionable anymore, lol. I also think he should go back to making straight country music, too. CloversMallRat (talk) 22:49, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hopefully this rocker phase will pass soon and he'll go back to making country music. Country radio doesn't really like playing him much at all, but I doubt that he's gonna experience better luck w/ this experiment. CloversMallRat (talk) 23:25, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nope, but I start next Monday so its not far off! Have you? CloversMallRat (talk) 18:39, 11 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Brother Clyde[edit]

Well thanks for the heads-up on that, since that was the only song I was really interested in hearing. Guess I'll just have to steer clear of this project altogether and hope he returns to making country soon. CloversMallRat (talk) 22:37, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Canadian Country charts[edit]

I've added a little something to the discussion here. I think it's time we eliminate the Canadian country chart positions from 2004 onward since there seems to be no solution to the lack of sourcing for them. Charts[edit]

Yeah. Also, did you see what I started at 2010 in country music with the references for each chart position there? Could you please help me do the same thing for all the others? Thanks.

Bruno Mars[edit]

I noticed you removed the Format section from It's Better If You Don't Understand on the discography section of the Bruno Mars page. Can you tell me why this is? I was following the fifth item here. Thanks! Yvesnimmo (talk) 22:48, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

...but it's on all the featured discographies? Yvesnimmo (talk) 23:12, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Just really curious: can you tell me how in the world an extended play would chart on a singles chart? Thanks for adding it to the Bruno Mars article; I just refrained from doing so because that made me really confused: there are no songs by Mars called "It's Better If You Don't Understand", though it's sung in "The Other Side" ft. Cee Lo Green & B.o.B. Yvesnimmo (talk) 04:55, 18 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Charts[edit]

Can you please help me build up the years-in-country-music articles to match the format of 2010 in country music — a singular list for the #1's, and all #1-#20 hits on the 20xx in country music article itself, preferably with a source? We started a couple of the #1 list formats in user:TenPoundHammer/Sandbox 2. (Also, don't forget to double check, in case a couple Top 10 hits accidentally got wiped out when I removed the CAN #1's.) Joey + Rory[edit]

Nothing I've read about Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles suggests that it should not be included on discographies. There's even "notable" chart peaks listed for that chart on that very page. I see no justification for removing the #122 peak for "Cheater, Cheater." For one thing, you removed it because of a dead link; that link used to be a reference, and even though its since gone dead, it doesn't suddenly become questionable. You should read this: WP:Linkrot. "Do not delete factual information solely because the URL to the source does not work any longer. WP:Verifiability does not require that all information be supported by a working link, nor does it require the source to be published on-line." -- excerpt from the page. September 2010[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Joey + Rory. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Sorry but I have to intervene here. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 22:42, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

RE: XML[edit]

To me it seems Billboard is intent on shoving wikipedia up the 'brown' creek in a leaky boat without a paddle. As if the sh*t pile they call their updated, easier to use website isn't bad enough. I hate that we can never get a clear answer from Billboard. (much of our thing about the charts seems to be calculatingly estimated LOL). *brainache* -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 00:14, 9 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
