Spelling of "story v. storey" at Abu Dhabi

I googled, both are correct. L3X1 (talk) 18:00, 4 January 2017 (UTC)

@L3X1: According to storey one is the American English version, whereas British English is used in the Emirates. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 18:19, 4 January 2017 (UTC)
Ok, that makes sense then to have -ey in the article. Have a nice day L3X1 (talk) 21:43, 4 January 2017 (UTC)

Rollback

Hi there,

Per your request at WP:RFP/R, I've granted you the rollback right. You already know that this tool is only to be used in cases of blatant abuse or non-controversial cleanup, but if you're ever in doubt, a manual revert and descriptive edit summary is the way to go. Thanks for volunteering to help out in this role, and please feel free to message me if you have any questions. – Juliancolton | Talk 23:20, 5 January 2017 (UTC)

Saud of Saudi Arabia

My dear, the Wahhabism is a movement not religion. if you insist you could put it in see also section. Thanks for you cooperation.--George the writer (talk) 20:30, 6 January 2017 (UTC)

@Georgethewriter: I know that it is not a religion, but a group in the religion. On other pages such as Abdullah of Saudi Arabia, it is specified that they follow Wahhabism. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 20:34, 6 January 2017 (UTC)

"A quiet word in the ear"

Per WP:TALKO; The basic rule—with some specific exceptions outlined below—is that you should not edit or delete the comments of other editors without their permission. and Never edit or move someone's comment to change its meaning, even on your own talk page. You seem to have removed several comments in this edit. I'm not sure whether that was intentional or not but please be mindful not to do it again. Also FIM I'm not sure about what's required, but, in your revert of Emir here you also removed Emir's reply to Cassianto. Maybe best practice to do a partial revert in these circumstances? I'll restore the comment in any case. Mr rnddude (talk) 10:43, 15 January 2017 (UTC)

@Mr rnddude: As shown in this edit my comments were edited and I was just trying to restore them. It was unintentional but I will try to be more mindful in the future about it. I am thankful for you restoring my comment after the mess made by FIM, but due to this unpleasant and unnecessary experience I have decided to stay away from that article and its talkpage for the time being. Oh, Mess of My! certainly. O Fortuna!...Imperatrix mundi. 13:38, 15 January 2017 (UTC)
FIM, I am thankful for you trying to resolve the dispute between me and the other edit. Keep contributing to the project please to help it be the best it can be. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 13:40, 15 January 2017 (UTC)

sorry - a bit clueless - how do I get something incorrect changed?

Hi Emir,

Thanks for replying to my question.

As a follow up, if I am not allowed to make amends to a wikipedia page that I have a person link to, how do I go about asking for something incorrect to be changed. In this instance, the wrong logo is being used for the Equality Now page.

Thanks again for your help!

Tararaecarey (talk) 18:00, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

@Tararaecarey: The best way would be to use the {{request edit}} template on the talkpage. In the case of the logo Wikipedia can only use it under a fair use rationale or if it is under a "libre" license such as the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. Could you please clarify which of these you wish to use? Just to make sure you know, fair use only allows low resolution copies, but a licence such as the CC A SA 4.0 allows the full resolution.
