A tag has been placed on B Howard, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. B Howard Article[edit]

- I have created my first article and would like some advice on it so it doesn't get deleted: B. Howard

You can submit it for a review by adding {{subst:submit}} to the very top. At a short glance, the sources for the "personal life" section are not reliable sources, and I doubt they really say what they're cited for anyway - or does Howard really comment on his own update frequency? The "Michael Jackson comparison" section doesn't belong into the "personal life" and should probably be moved to the "music career" section. I don't think a track listing has a place in a biography, and many of the article's sources should be checked to make sure they're reliable - this includes blogs and sources that may have been written by Howard and his associates, including his record label. Huon (talk) 12:36, 9 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Eliza. You asked at my talk page about your draft article User:Elizawriter/B_howard. The article B. Howard was deleted following the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/B. Howard. The consensus from that (admittedly rather brief) discussion was that he didn't fulfill the criteria for notability outlined in Wikipedia:Notability (people), and in particular at Wikipedia:Notability (people)#Entertainers. He had some brief press coverage after he claimed to be Michael Jackson's son, but makes only weak and unreferenced claims about his notability as a musician in his own right. If you disagree with the outcome of that discussion, you could always ask for a Wikipedia:Deletion review, though I personally don't think it has much chance of being undeleted, unless you can find better references about his music career. The sources need to be independent and reliable: see Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources for information on that. So the MTV reference, for example, is clearly written by someone connected with him, and wouldn't be considered a reliable source. Can you find any reliable references about his achievements as a musician, for example performing or producing a track that charted? Thanks, Ruby Murray 13:04, 9 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Ruby Murray thank-you for your feedback. My main sources for notability are about ten U.S chart albums in which he is credited as songwriter an producer, many f which have individual pages on Wikipedia including Lupe Fiasco's 'Food and Liquor' and Ne-Yo's 'In My Own Words' all of which have B.Howard credited in the albums companion material. Surely this is enough evidence for notability? (Elizawriter (talk) 18:24, 9 March 2014 (UTC))[reply]

Sounds like it could be. The new article would need independent sources verifying his work - we can't use Wikipedia articles to reference another article. A good idea might be to create a draft at Wikipedia:Articles for creation, and when you submit it for review, experienced editors will review it and make recommendations if needed, and if it's in good shape then they can move it to the main article space, which is sort of like moving it from draft version to "published". The deletion discussion for that article took place back in 2010, so it's possible that he's had notable career success since then, or maybe he was already notable and reliable sources just hadn't been found at the time of the deletion discussion. Dear Ruby Murray and Huon, thank-you so much. You have been really helpful. I think you are completely right about the lack of reliable sources found by the original composer so I have gone and hunted down everything I possibly could, including quite a few actual album releases with B.Howard credited in the liner notes. I have also added as many solid sources as I could and have now submitted it. I really hope they publish it because boy, it has take a LOT more work than expected. Best wishes, (Elizawriter (talk) 04:18, 11 March 2014 (UTC))[reply]

Hello Ruby Murray I have a speedy deletion contested deletion claim. My last one was deleted entirely and the review process is likely to take several weeks. I wrote the following on Talk:B Howard: This page should not be speedily deleted because... It now contains 50 sources, over 30 of which are reliable sources, ranging from hard copy materials such as Liner Notes to Billboard 100 articles. --Elizawriter (talk) 15:31, 11 March 2014 (UTC) (Elizawriter (talk) 15:36, 11 March 2014 (UTC))[reply]
