Also, did you know you could change how Wikipedia appeared on the screen by clicking the "my preferences" button next to your username? Emprovision 19:36, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome. Try the other buttons near the preference button. They can be pretty useful. Also, try watching an article. When you're logged in, if you find an article that you really like and don't want to forget, then go to the top (next to move and edit this page) where it says watch and click it. It works like the favorites button, only just on Wikipedia. To acsess it, just click my watchlist (next to my preferences). Try watching my page. I'm already watching yours. Oh yeah, and that rain is pretty bad, isn't it? Emprovision 21:11, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ummm... use lava walls or a lava umbrella...or hire a comedian...or something like that...can I have five bucks? M.C. in the mornin' 01:54, 22 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I might actually try that. Have you recorded whether males or females yawn more? Length of yawns? Adults or children? Could your mental state (other than tiredness or boredness) affect yawning? Time of year? I will be attempting to find Wikipedia articles to supplement yours. Emprovision 14:33, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I found an article called Yawn, and check out this excerpt of what a yawn could be: 1. An indication of tiredness, stress, over-work, or boredom. 2. An action indicating psychological decompression after a state of high alert. 3. A means of expressing powerful emotions like anger, apathy, apprehension, remorse or tedium. Follow the yawn link to find out more. Emprovision 14:44, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, yes, about the Lego Legue thing, it's called FIRST Lego League in U.S.A. and Europe. I should know. I went to state in in it (I'm so proud of myself...). :P Emprovision 14:50, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe you know FIRST Lego League by it's acronym: FLL. Also, you might want to read this part of the article : In August 2006 a new Mindstorms kit called the NXT was put out by Lego. The RCX, the previous kit, was still allowed to be used in competition in 2006. Lego is no longer selling the original RCX Mindstorms kits to the general public. Emprovision 14:58, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, fair enough. Remember: If you find anything interesting, link it to my page. Emprovision 15:31, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

To link, type the article's name (capitalization counts) and put double brackets() ''and'' () on both sides of the title of the article, respectively. No parentheses, though. I just added those so they wouldn't think "and" was supposed to be a link Emprovision 15:41, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You know, that article reminded me about a book I read. It said that scientists rubbed a cotton swab on a man's face while he was sleeping, and he had a dream that his girlfriend was rubbing his face, so I think dreams are a way for our sub-conscience to tell our sleeping conscience what is happening in the world around us. It kind of goes with that animal theory. Humans (possibly cavemen?) and other animals may have evolved to get dreams so they would know when they were being attacked while sleeping. What do you say about this theory? Emprovision 15:55, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

So there is a way to remember dreams... I should try that. Thanks for the link! Emprovision 16:11, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Did you notice that all the letters on a keyboard are on the top left side of the key? Emprovision 16:16, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Six or seven sounds good to me though I'm not sure about ten because, well, I oversleep and as soon as spring break ends, we'll be in PreAlgebra then, and we don't have wireless there, anyway. Emprovision 16:32, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yesterday, my mom paid ten dollars to clear out her garden of last year's dead plants and today she said she would buy me a Nintendo DS Lite tomorrow, and I guess that's my spring break so far in a nutshell. P.S. Duck Hunt had no point. It was just some stupid trivia. Emprovision 19:33, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry. That was my IP number. Every computer (or network) has one. That's why they wouldn't let you make your account at school. Somebody got that IP number banned. I accidentaly sent you a message when I wasn't logged in, so it recorded my computer's IP number instead of my username. Emprovision 23:10, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh yeah, what's the point of Martin? Like I always say, "If it doesn't have my name in it, then it shouldn't be here at all" Emprovision 16:56, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Crystal differs from ordinary glass because it contains lead. SF Look out for the SF (Stupid Fact)or SL (Stupid Link) to get random facts to make you smarter. Duck Hunt was an SL, and this one was an SF. Emprovision 16:56, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

1.Go to the manual I sent you. 2.Look at the The Community section. 3.Find Signpost and click it. 4.Go to the WikiWorld Comic. 5. Read it! 6.It seems like something Zach would write. 7.Gimme five bucks (Starbucks works, too). SL Emprovision 17:07, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Somebody's been on Wikipedia too long.. and what do you mean too many userboxes!?!!? I just beat Golden Sun....again. Emprovision 00:48, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I haven't messaged you lately. I was on vacation from June 18 to August 1. Have you started packing school supplies yet? I have... Oh, and I got new glasses. Emprovision 23:07, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Motto of the day[edit]

Hello, I notice you're using one of the {{motd}} templates, run by Wikipedia:Motto of the day. You may have noticed that some of the mottos recently have been followed by a date from 2006, or on occasion simply "Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia". The reason for this is that Motto of the day is in some very serious need of help. Participation in the project, which has never been especially high, has dropped considerably over this past summer, to the point we have had several days where no motto was scheduled to appear at all. Over the past several weeks, I've been the only editor scheduling mottos at all, but there aren't enough comments on some of these mottos to justify their use. If we do not get some help - and soon - your daily mottos will stop. In order for us to continue updating these templates for you, we need your help.

When you get a chance between your normal editing, could you stop by our nominations page and leave a few comments on some of the mottos there, especially those that do not have any comments yet? This works very simply; you read a motto, decide whether or not you like it, and post your opinion just below the motto. That's it - no experience required, just an idea of what you personally like and what you feel reflects Wikipedia and its community. If you do have past experience with the project, then please close some of the older nominations once they've got a decent consensus going. There are directions on the nominations page on how to do this.

If you have any questions, please let me know, or post on the project's talk page. I'm looking forward to reading your comments on the suggested mottos, and any additional suggestions you'd like to make. Until then, happy editing! Hersfold (t/a/c) 01:56, 4 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:REVOCATION.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the file is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Motto of the Day Help Request April 2014[edit]

Today's motto...

Few sons attain the praise of their great sires, and most
their sires disgrace.

Nominate one today!

Motto of the Day (WP:MOTD) is in a state of emergency and really needs your help! There are not enough editors who are reviewing or nominating mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review, and this probably means that you will notice a red link or “This space for rent” as our mottos for the next weeks and months.

Please take a moment to review the nominations and nominate your own new mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review and Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/'Specials. Any help would be appreciated! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 09:13, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This message has been sent by pjoef on behalf of Motto of the Day to all editors of the English Wikipedia who are showing MOTD's templates on their pages, and to all the participants to MOTD: (page, template, and category).
