From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hello Emad Kayyam, welcome to wikipedia. From skimming the email conversation you just put at the wp:Village pump it appears you are proposing some new theory here on wikipedia. I think you may misunderstand what we do here, as wikipedia has a strict policy against research not yet published by indepent reliable sources. I am sorry, but unless your theory is already published in a scientific journal it does not belong here. I have removed the material from the proposals page and also from your talkpage. In response to your email, my apologies. You state indeed quite clearly you have published, but I somehow missed that. However, I have some worries on what your plans are. You stated in your email your intention is to "is to discuss my story and the difficulties in my research journey", could you clarify how you would intend to do so? If you really intend to discuss things, I woulhave to disappoint you for Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a discussion forum. Alternatively it could mean you plan to write an article about yourself or your ideas. In that case I strongly urge you to read our policies on Autobiographical articles and editing with a conflict of interest, which should clarify why this would be a bad idea. Feel free to email me or post on my talkpage if you have questions. Yoenit (talk) 18:56, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation[edit]

Thank you for your recent submission to Articles for Creation. Your article submission has been reviewed. The submission has not been accepted because it included copyrighted information, which is not permitted on Wikipedia. You are welcome to write an article on the subject, but please do not use copyrighted work.
  • You have contested the deletion of Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Emad KAYYAM on the grounds that it was not a copyvio. Technically it was a copyvio - it was copied from this page at LinkedIn which does not carry an explicit CC licence. But of course the LinkedIn page is your work and you are happy to release it to Wikipedia. However the real problem with the page (which, I admit was not strictly grounds for speedy deletion) was that it was hopeless original research. It did not stand a snowball in hell's chance of being accepted as an article. I have let Anne_Delong (talk · contribs) see the text and I am sure she will confirm my opinion. It was also hopelessly sloppy with no attempt at formatting to Wikipedia standards and why on earth was the text repeated three times?
As a side issue on your page at LinkedIn you describe yourself as a "researcher at Wikimedia Commons". Will you please clarify what this means: if you are paid by the Wikimedia Foundation or have some other formal connection with the foundation, please say so. If not, please amend the wording to remove any impression that you have any official status.
Finally, in the unlikely event that you actually have useful stuff to contribute please give yourself a new user name - shouting such as you are using brings me out in a very nasty rash and makes me irritable. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:37, 10 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not use Wikipedia to promote businesses, such as you did in the article Unity of Stars Novel. Wikipedia is not the Yellow pages. If you want to list a company for potential customers to find, please consider alternative outlets. Thank you. Randykitty (talk) 17:43, 30 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
