Edit warring on east African topics

You may be blocked if you revert again on any article related to Somalia or Somaliland unless you first make a good faith effort to reach consensus on the talk page. In particular, any change from 'Somalia' to 'Somaliland' or vice versa (in the text or infobox of an article) are blockable unless you have first proposed this change on the talk page and waited a reaonable time. EdJohnston I have a few questions. What about the article in question? It has a mixture of information, if I was to edit it to Somalia as the references say, would I be blocked? And what about other very similar city/town pages where the references say one thing and the article text/map something else? Am I allowed to correct it? EELagoon (talk) 15:42, 20 May 2018 (UTC)

You are asking content questions here. Such questions need to be resolved with the other editors, not with admins. Though I can't tell which of you is right, it is obvious that both of you have been reverting with no discussion. And I don't see any posts by you on article talk pages of the ones you have been changing. EdJohnston (talk) 15:58, 20 May 2018 (UTC)

Do I need to go on every talk page to solve the same problem over and over again? Many of these articles that are being reversed similar in nature. And essentially I will be blocked if I edit articles from Somalia to Somaliland or vice versa even if the reference already in the article states the same? So I would need consensus on what's essentially already sourced. EELagoon (talk) 16:28, 20 May 2018 (UTC)

Since you've made another switch from Somaliland to Somalia in the infobox here I think you should be blocked per the warning I gave at AN3. If you really want to get a wider consensus, you may not need to go to individual articles. Post on my talk and we can consider some options.
