Thaçi[edit]

Thank you for your efforts in fis articles. A good source about Thaçi is Etnografia Shqiptare, vol 7-8. It's more preferable to the use of Elsie's book about tribes whenever possible.--Maleschreiber (talk) 19:49, 31 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvios[edit]

G'day Durraz0. I noticed your recent additions to 21st Waffen Mountain Division of the SS Skanderbeg included some material that was effectively word-for-word from p. 186 of Fischer's 1999 book Albania at War, 1939–1945. This is definitely NOT ok on WP. See WP:COPYVIO and WP:COPYPASTE for details of the policy, which has legal ramifications for WP. I have changed the wording of your additions to comply with the policy. Cheers, Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 21:42, 6 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

good evening Peacemaker67. im sorry for your inconvenience, I thought I did a good enough job by changing some some words and replacing them with synonyms. thanks for "cleaning it up". anyways did you see the message i left on the talkpage? yeoman literally talks about the german occupation of albania not the italian one. it was said by Rexhep Mitrovica, the full quote is on his wiki page. Important Notice[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in Eastern Europe or the Balkans. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

To opt out of receiving messages like this one, place {{Ds/aware}} on your user talk page and specify in the template the topic areas that you would like to opt out of alerts about. For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

incomplete removal of template:kosovo-note[edit]

This edit is not complete - you need to also remove the reference to it. This is why this process is manual, what you did can be automated. --Joy (talk) 21:28, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I did not see it until later, my mistake. Durraz0 (talk) 21:30, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Likewise here. Please go through your edits like this and clean up after yourself. TIA. --Joy (talk) 21:30, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Will do. Durraz0 (talk) 21:32, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please warn problem editors[edit]

You can template them. See wp:WARNINGS - also, for your overwhelming pleasure: {{Single notice links}} and {{Multi notice links}}. You can add them to your user page if you wish as I have done to mine. wp:vandalism templates should only be used in obvious cases. wp:AGF! Warning problem editors can help get them wp:blocked. Hey Durraz0[edit]

Hey Durraz0, I am Vasojević and I was speaking Serbian way before your tribes and country existed. Do not take it personally. We Vasojevici are mixature of Slavs and old-Balkan people. You are lucky wikipedia is defending you, otherwise you wouldn't be banned for vandalism, boy. Baltazarvs (talk) 11:58, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to Eastern Europe or the Balkans, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially-designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Siege of Kruje[edit]

Siege of Krujë (1467) Can you explain why it was an Albanian victory? Keremmaarda (talk) 18:33, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Because the siege failed. Albanian victory is the stable version, you would have to gain consensus to change it. Durraz0 (talk) 19:19, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The fortress was not seriously besieged and the Turkish army was not defeated or routed in battle. Siege lifted due to Plague epidemic Keremmaarda (talk) 20:13, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Keremmaarda You're completely right for asking for an explanation or source, as it currently has no citations added to back that claim. You have to start to cooperate more on Wikipedia, @Durraz0, instead of Stonewalling. --Azor (talk). 22:25, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Kurds/Kurdistan[edit]

Hi Durraz0, this is just a formal notification about something you are aware of and have reported a violation of. Feel free to remove this message.

Best regards,
~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:40, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@ToBeFree: the topic is not Kurdistan but the Balkans. They are both messy topics, but still seperate ones. Cheers, Ktrimi991 (talk) 20:15, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, you're right of course. And you have already received one about the right topic, even. 🙂 ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:45, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
