Request reason:

I was blocked as a suspected sockpuppet, or sockpuppet master, or something along those lines. I'd like to be unblocked because, well, I'm not. It looks to me like the issue was around a page for Rail-Veyor, which I created, and was deleted, and then which another account subsequently created. I had created the page because at the time I had been paid to do it (happy to admit that, though I know I shouldn't have) - since then I decided to stop doing any such work, as I believed it was not appropriate. I passed my work on to the client (Rail-Veyor), apologising for not completing it. I can only imagine that at that point someone else who worked for them tried to create the page again, using my old work - whoever they are though, they're nothing to do with me, and as I believe the investigation notes, there was no IP address link. I have no intention of doing any more Wikipedia editing for promotional purposes, I've learnt my lesson there. I'd only like my account back for occasional use, and a bit of editing for good. Thanks very much. Dompreston (talk) 7:13 pm, 24 March 2014, Monday (16 days ago) (UTC+0)

Accept reason:

A discussion with the blocking admin and a review of the SPI case and history leading to this block seems to bear out your version of events. If you're willing to stay away from paid editing, I'm willing to lift this block. Yunshui  07:00, 10 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
