Speedy deletion nomination of Djdela[edit]

A tag has been placed on Djdela requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. I dream of horses If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 00:32, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;

A tag has been placed on Frank De La O requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Fire 55 (talk) 01:02, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your new article[edit]

  • On review, because you are only a local artist, you are not a notable musician. Accordingly, you do not meet the criteria to have an article. —C.Fred (talk) 01:10, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    • As was just said, I'm sorry, but your article does not meet Wikipedia's guidelines for inclusion. If you would like to respond, please do so on this page and do not create any more pages. Thank you. Evil saltine (talk) 01:21, 31 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

{{helpme}}

So their is no way I can put my biography up on wikipedia ? :(

Firstly, it is very difficult to write a neutral, acceptable article. If this is the case, please read WP:AUTO. We strongly recommend that you do not create the article. There are options available to create an appropriately sourced article in your user area, and then request that it is created. Please read this essay on best practice, and the business FAQ
Next - notability. In order to have an article on Wikipedia, the subject must meet the notability guidelines. The simplest, most important one is the general notability guideline, which says a subject needs significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. That carefully-worded phrase explains quite a lot;
Significant coverage - such as, a number of news articles about the article topic - not passing mentions
Reliable sources - well, this is defined in some detail in WP:RS, but the essence of it is - something that is generally trusted - such as the BBC, CNN, The New York Times. Books are good, too. Blog-sites are rarely reliable.
Independent - we don't use primary sources, such as the persons own website, or their publishers/labels website, or anything like that. We avoid press-releases. We want secondary coverage - other people independently writing about the subject.
In the case of this article, looking on the internet, I am unable to find any appropriate sources, and therefore I think it will be difficult to establish notability. I'm sorry. I do understand your point, that the person has produced all this widely-used artwork, but unfortunately proof that the art exists is not enough. We would need to see coverage of the artist - articles about them, not about some album-cover that they made.
There is another important point to note here though, and that is, you can work on articles in your own user space. I have just copied the article to user:Tativ79/Adriana Rebold. That can stay there forever; it is not in the live area. You can edit it, improve it, ask for help with it, etc. If, eventually, you are able to add suitable references (as I have described), then it could be copied back to the 'live' area.
I suggest that you consider working on some other existing articles - perhaps something of interest.
I hope that you will continue to work on WIkipedia, and I assure you that I will help in any way I can. For more help, you can either;
  • Leave a message on my own talk page; OR
  • Use a {{helpme}} - please create a new section at the end of your own talk page, put {{helpme}}, and ask your question - remember to 'sign' your name by putting ~~~~ at the end; OR
  • Talk to us live, with this or this.
Best wishes,
