Benjamin Harrison[edit]

Hi there.

I put "VI" back in Harrison's article because I believe it to be encylopedic; the Harrison family has a political dynasty. Contact me if you have any qualms about the edit! Teke (talk) 07:07, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Good point, it's gone. Teke (talk) 05:52, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Any ideas for VA Constitution?[edit]

I see that you rated the Constitution of Virginia back in October. I've put some work into the article, but I'm about the only one actively editing it - I guess it's not a topic that generates a lot of interest. I would like to make it a better article, but I would also like to get another opinion on what needs doing - more info on historical constitutions? more analysis of the current constitution? etc. Would you mind giving me some feedback? If not, no big deal. -Kubigula (ave) 17:38, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. Your observations mostly echo my thoughts on the article, and it's great to get someone else's perspective on an article that doesn't get much edit traffic. -Kubigula (ave) 02:54, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Concordia Newsletter[edit]

NEWSLETTER

Concordia is currently trying to relaunch. I, and all the members of the ex-council, wish to welcome new members to the group. We are a group who aim to promote remaining civil, in an environment where messages can easily be interpretated wrongly.

Help out now![edit]

  • Try and help people remain civil! Talk to them, and help them in any way possible. Do not be afraid to use the talk page.
  • Give people the Civility Barnstar.
  • Make and spread some Wikitokens so people know there are people to help if they want assistance.
  • Add banners or logos to your userpage to show your support.
  • Suggest some ideas! Add 'em to the talk page.

We are a community, so can only work though community contributions and support. It's the helping that counts.

Decision Making[edit]

The council expired one month ago, but due to the current position of the group the current council will remain until the position of the group can be assessed, and whether it would be sensible to keep Concordia going. For most decisions, however, it will be decided by all who choose to partake in discussions. I am trying to relaunch because of the vast amounts of new members we have received, demonstrating that the aims are supported.

If you wish to opt of of further talk-page communications, just let us know here.

  • Two new templates have been introduced:
  • An effort is being made to have task forces maintain annotated bibliographies for their topic areas; several task forces have already begun to construct them.

  • A military version of Wikipe-tan has been created; a new userbox featuring one of the images is available for interested project members.

Are you back?[edit]

Your userpage seems a bit uncertain as to whether you are really back. I hope so, because you were a big help at WikiProject VA. The project floundered a bit after you and Plange took a hiatus at the same time. It got back on track with some solid work by a couple of folks, but we could certainly use a hand.--Kubigula (talk) 18:15, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, we're glad to have you back, even if it's for less time than before; there's always plenty to do. As far as WPV is concerned, I personally think it's a bit embarrassing that the Virginia article is not at least a "good article". If you are interested in helping with that, I would love to get your thoughts and assessment of the current state of the article and what may be needed before we take it to WP:GAC. Beyond that, it would be great to have another hand helping out with tagging, assessing and handling requests for reassessments - I know you did a lot of that before.--Kubigula (talk) 03:34, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you
Thank you for your opposition of my recent unsuccsessful rfa, which concluded today with a final tally of 22/15/3. The comments and suggestions from this rfa, combined with the comments left during my first rfa, have given me a good idea of where I need improvement.

Washington Capitals article[edit]

The link you posted doesn't go anywhere, but I think it would be fine to see the town names with just standard English characters. --David7581 16:18, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There was 'no consensus' to hide or unhide the diacritics. It was a stalemate. GoodDay 23:20, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The argeement was, no more disputes about diacritics at the WikiProject Ice Hockey page. In otherwords, continued stalmate (concerning 'player birth places' on NHL team pages). GoodDay 23:28, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
