Thanks. I was a bit blur when I got your message. I did lot of editing in “opera” related sites actually, while in the same time doing translation about “opera related articles” in Malaysian language (ms wikipedia). Took me a while to think which articles you were talking about.. well, I think you were referring to CFA? I have 4 cats (3 Maine Coons and 1 Norwegian Forest) registered with CFA. I was browsing the article when I decided to add list of recognized pedigree. Go to my profile, you will see 3 MCOs (MCO = Maine Coon), the NFO (NFO = Norwegian Forest) is a shy girl, cant take her pic, she doesnt stay still and the fat chubby boy is the moggy cat. - Jay 07:01, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Sir Joseph Banks and a collage of unique Australian flora.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Sir Joseph Banks and a collage of unique Australian flora.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 02:46, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Hello, Dfrg.msc. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Tau arms and Armor Etherial.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Dfrg.msc/Gallery. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 09:36, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Adoption

Hello buddy, could you please either move your adoption tags on User talk:Dfrg.msc/Archive 4 to your user page with the others or delete them if they are duplicate. from it being on two different pages you are showing up twice on the 'adopters' list and we are trying to clean it up. thank you! if you have any questions about this let me know. Uh

Why not? [2] :) Cheers, Dfrg.msc 09:21, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

Why not? Well, it doesn't add anything to the article. It pushes the other images down and out of their relevant sections. There are plenty of other more relevant images here and here, especially this one. I just don't see any reason to include it. Sorry. Maybe you could add a gallery of different versions of the symbol? ~ Switch () 10:07, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

Harry Potter Anarchy symbol

Dear Dfrg.msc

Please reevaluate your decision to delete http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Anarchist_symbolism&diff=132262672&oldid=132140900 . Follow the links to quotes, and notice the very similar graphics of V for Vendetta photo to Dumbledore's Army photo. Both have a circle and letters vandalized over an authoritarian poster. It would be bias to find V for Vendetta acceptable and the Dumbledore's Army unacceptable.

Possibly there could be some wording changes to compromise.

Thanks, LC

Hell yeah I remember that! I display that turnip trophy proudly on my user page. I have not done many edits lately, been too busy with school and work. Thanks a million for the cabal membership. The turnip truly is an underrated tuber. The potato gets all the hype. Vaya con Dios! ReverendG 07:47, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Whisper...

Hey there dfrg, a little suggestion, you might want to read your comment here back, as I'm guessing that's not what you meant to write :P Amusing, though! Have a nice day, - Zeibura S. Kathau (Info | Talk) 17:16, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

YechielMan's RFA

Thank you for participating in either of my unsuccessful requests for adminship. Although the experience was frustrating, it showed me some mistakes I was making, and I hope to learn from those mistakes.

Please take a few minutes to read User:YechielMan/Other stuff/RFA review and advise me how to proceed. Best regards. YechielMan 21:32, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

I wasn't playing with the page - I was reverting to the last edit by that user on their own talk page. Why are you objecting to this?--AgentCDE / Talk / 07:12, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

My RfA ...

Hi. Thanks for supporting my request for adminship. It was successful and I am now an admin. If I can ever be of help, please let me know. Cheers, Black Falcon (Talk) 06:05, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Your RfA

Hi, I'm sorry to tell you that your RfA failed to reach consensus. I suggest you read the comments made by those you opposed you and well as the other commenters on your RfAs pages. Many current admins who failed to get the admin bit the first few times around went on to be granted adminship later. -- Cecropia 06:41, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Sorry to hear this. Better luck next time mate! I'll always support you, and I'll be happy to nominate you again. G1ggy! Review me! 07:17, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
Always look on the bright side of life (brakes into song). Culverin? Talk 08:07, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
I'm sorry your RfA ended the way it did, Nick. You're a nice Wikipedian, and I'm pretty sure you'll make it next time soon. Take care, Peacent 16:08, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
Hey Dfrg, too bad. You deserved to make it. Does anyone know when he can run again? I'll be there to support again. We will succeed eventually!! Talk to you later!! Drizzt Jamo 00:09, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Anvils! Anvils might help!
I'm also really sorry about your RFA. Please don't be discouraged. Keep doing a great work, I'm sure that you'll have a successful RFA next time! :-) Cheers, Húsönd 02:43, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
Here're some cupcakes... had a nibble on one of them. Hope you run again, I'm sure it'll work out. Take care mate. Riana 08:26, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
The pic changes because I get bored easily. What's that, a squirrel? :) Cool new userpage, by the way! Riana 08:30, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
Indeed, even though I opposed you, I think you're a good Wikipedian, and with this disappointing result you can hopefully learn from your mistakes. I would encourage you to run again. Happy editing! :) Majorly (talk | meet) 11:28, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
I would have supported had I known it was on (assignments and exams be damned!), but I can see that the biggest issue here is mostly one of time and place, and perhaps this RfA has allowed arguments to this point to be considered so that you can get a fresh consideration next time. I'd suggest taking some of the comments and opinion on board and trying again in a few months. Orderinchaos 10:38, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
Sorry to hear it didn't pass, good to hear you're not discouraged from running again at a later date though. I still stick by what I said on the RfA talk page and think you'd be pretty valuable as an admin! See you around, - Zeibura Talk 01:41, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Rfa

Just dropping by to say "thank you" for supporting me in my recent my RfA. I passed the vote, and am now an admin. It will take me some getting used to with the new tools, but I thank you again for the trust. Have a good one, and, as always, happy editing! Jmlk17 05:03, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Re:My Rfa

My pleasure, You really did deserve to make it, but I think you probably have it in the bag for your second campaign!! Talk to you later!! Drizzt Jamo 11:46, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Re: My RfA

Well... you had over 60% this time. Give it a few months, and it'll more than likely pass. Whsitchy 16:04, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the flowers!

This is for you :)

I appreciate your positive attitude, keep at it. Btw, congratulations on your adorable new userpage. Peacent 07:58, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Dfrg.msc

So does that stand for like "defrag.miscellaneous"? :/ —  $PЯINGrαgђ  21:09, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Your RfA

I'm happy to support you in time. For now, concentrate on working well with others editors, adding value to the encyclopedia, and overall, doing your best while here. I'm not one to hold grudges and I suspect in time you'll be welcomed to the administrative fold with open arms. -- Longhair\talk 00:33, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Yes, if you put in another four or five months of solid editing, living up to the administrator code of conduct, and proving that you can handle yourself in disputes (I think that you'd be an excellent mediator for the Cabal), you'll get my support. I wasn't sure how you'd cope with the extra admin tools, as I'd never actually seen you in a dispute. I'd like to see you put yourself out there a bit more, and maybe a MedCab case or two may not hurt. Daniel 02:36, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Like I said earlier, I think you are a very good editor but there is just one thing I would like you to improve on: handling criticism better and assuming good faith. Of course, I have not seen you in any conflict before, so it might have been a one-off thing. Anything else is in the past and will not be held against you forevermore. :) So, yes, it is very likely that I will support you in the future if you work on this simple thing (provided I am still here of course). And keep up your good work.- TwoOars 04:07, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Comment as requested: Pretty much what they say above regarding disagreements and conflicts - not enough distance, and too quick to take offence. But - again, as said - AFAIK you do most other things very well, and I think I would be happy to support further down the line given some indication that you're making an effort to deal with the conflict stuff, and aren't so quick on the draw. Best wishes, HeartofaDog 11:18, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
    • I opposed you because some of the diffs that Majorly and AIS gave were a little bit concerning. They weren't vandalism or anything, but just were weird. However, if you stop making those types of edits, and come bback to RfA in a few minutes, I'd be willing to forgive them. BH (T|C) 15:23, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Granny Smith

Just to let you know, your edit here [3] for spelling was a little misguided. Cultivars are different varieties of the same species of plant, just as breeds of dog are different varieties of canines. A cultivator would be someone who grows and takes care of whatever crop someone might be talking about. In that sentence that you changed, "cultivar" was just fine.

And thank you for your time. Blueaster 02:41, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

My RfA :)

Thank you, Nick, for commenting on my RfA, which closed successfully with a tally of 76/0/1! I hope I will meet your expectations, and be sure I will continue trying to be a good editor as well as a good administrator :) If I may be of any assistance to you in the future (or if you see me commit some grievous error :), please drop me a line on my Talk page.

Again, thank you, and happy editing! Fvasconcellos (t·c) 18:03, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
