Sockpuppet alert.

Sorry to disturb you, but can you block Romar9131 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log). This guy is actually a sockpuppet of Christian2941 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · page moves · block user · block log) who inserts hoax information on articles about Filipino actors and TV shows and Asian cable channels. This guy also used sockpuppets with the suffix Romar91xx. The vandal was already reported to WP:AIV, but still currently unactioned. Please act on this ASAP. Thank you. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 08:11, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • It appears another admin has blocked the account. I would have been happy to deal with vandalism; but I'm not really very experienced with sockpuppet identification. If you have a more persistent sock, I would suggest WP:SPI.--Doug.(talk contribs) 09:05, 6 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

ANI on Marine 69-71

Subsequent to your hatting of the discussion, DGG made an interesting point about the possibility of a short block as being within the power of the ANI. If that is the case, and given the general consensus that his actions were improper, I wonder if that is a more viable alternative than an RfC that is likely to be yet another drama-fest? I'd appreciate hearing your thoughts on this. If the "train has already left the station," then I will proceed with the RfC. ScottyBerg (talk) 13:38, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I hadn't seen that, I've re-opened the discussion and replaced the {{resolved}} tag with an {{unresolved}}.--Doug.(talk contribs) 14:02, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
BTW, I will refrain from sharing, or even making, any thoughts on this as that would make me involved, I haven't read the underlying material in order to stay neutral, I'm just trying to read consensus on the ANI discussion. Not that I will necessarily be re-closing the discussion but I try to stay out of the merits (or lack of merits, as the case may be) of the various quasi-disciplinary boards unless I'm involved from the start :-).--Doug.(talk contribs) 14:07, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, I hadn't read it either. I do believe that it was posted after you hatted the discussion! I have posted a note there. If we can't wrap this up, I'll proceed with the RfC. ScottyBerg (talk) 14:08, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Just to correct myself - I'm not sure it happened after the discussion was hatted. Sorry. ScottyBerg (talk) 14:12, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Autopatrolled

I noticed you assigned the autopatrolled right User:Ginger Warrior the other day. This right is granted to prolific article creators who have created 50+ non-problematic articles. User:Ginger Warrior has created 18 articles. That said, I've removed the right from their account for now. Just thought I'd let you know. Regards, FASTILY (TALK) 20:32, 11 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding my editing restrictions

At the moment Doug, I am allowed to edit all talk pages only and any pages concerning my adoption, (e.g. if my adoption required for me to tag for deletion stuff then I can do that). My mentor is already aware of this. Also communication between me and my mentor is conducted on IRC most of the time so what is acceptable and what isn't acceptable, the update of it, isn't always available at my talk page. Thanks. -- PoliMaster talk/spy 15:32, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You also mentioned that here I was refactoring, if one of my comments that was a reply is going to be removed here and the edit summary says "I told you to stay off my talk page" then I find it justifiable to remove all of my comments from that page.-- PoliMaster talk/spy 16:01, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You will also notice that I have been archiving my content here. Thanks :-) -- PoliMaster talk/spy 16:08, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
RSVP please.-- PoliMaster talk/spy 18:41, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I would move the conversation if I knew how to properly, but when I use the move function when editing that section, it appears to want to move my entire user page. I, Jethrobot drop me a line (note: not a bot!) 20:44, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I blocked because of this AIV report, which probably made that general non-responsiveness worse. If you want to unblock, go ahead. Daniel Case (talk) 15:00, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Go the extra mile" is entirely plausible

We already have Going the extra mile as a redirect. If you search for "Go the extra mile" within Wikipedia you will see that it is almost as common as "Going the extra mile".--Penbat (talk) 13:51, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've just nominated that at WP:RFD, these two phrases don't mean the same thing at all. Redirecting creates more confusion than not having an entry.--Doug.(talk contribs) 13:55, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I know that but if you actually take the trouble yourself to read Turning the other cheek you will see that they are quite closely related.--Penbat (talk) 14:01, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Question

I got your comment. I'm new to this (obviously). The citation that was inline was correct, the information was inaccurate (which I fixed). My question is - is this the best way to reach other users (specifically you, right now)?--Momplaysbass (talk) 20:28, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
