Speedy deletion of Autostrata[edit]

A tag has been placed on Autostrata, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

The article asserts the inherent non-notability of this product, A7

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Garrie 06:25, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Encyclopedia articles should be about inherently notable subjects.Garrie 06:25, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Autostrata - Request for Undeletion[edit]

Hi David, I noticed that you contested the speedy deletion of Autostrata. Please note that the article was already deleted. Therefore, the proper course of action is not to use the {{hangon}} template but rather to follow the steps listed at WP:DRV. Please also be sure to familiarize yourself with our guidelines and policies with regard to notability, especially WP:NOT and WP:CORP. Thank you. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or to request assistance at the help desk. -- Seed 2.0 09:08, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Open business[edit]

Hi. Please have a look at my concerns about the Open business article on its talk page. If you could address these in your edits it would go a long way to improving the article. You also should refer to the Wikipedia policy here on conflicts of interest. If you have a personal involvement in anything discussed on the article it may be best to declare it up front on the talk page. Thanks. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 19:38, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have raised an issue regarding this article as Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard. -- MightyWarrior (talk) 12:43, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of LearningSpace[edit]

A tag has been placed on LearningSpace requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you.  -- BeezHive (talk|contribs) 16:15, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It was software, which does not fall under the criterion, so I as reviewing administrator declined to delete it. But the article is unlikely to stand as is--it absolutely must have 3rd party independent reliable published sources, print or online (but not blogs or press releases). For information about this class of articles, see our Business FAQ. I'd advise you to add to this very quickly, before it gets nominated for regular deletion.DGG (talk) 03:01, 6 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article LearningSpace has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Long tagged as unreferenced and lacking notability. I don't see much in a quick google search in terms of significant third-party coverage.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --EEMIV (talk) 13:09, 9 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
