Language[edit]

Just posting to Talk:Language is fine. When making large (and especially controversial) changes to an article, it's best to discuss first and edit later; the trouble with being bold is that other people are bold back. Hi, David. Sorry, I meant to poke around at Talk:Language, but I do subscribe to the be-bold philosophy, and I ran out of time and steam after the changes I made. Anyway, I have now remedied the situation, and have started a discussion of my changes and ideas for improving the page. As I said there, I think this can be an important backbone article. Tamil Grammar and an Incompleteness Theorem[edit]

Unfortunately, I have no qualifications whatsoever to write about language. But in my opinion, the opening section of the article 'Language' should simply be removed, or at the very least moved to the end. However, doing so myself would gain nothing, since I don't have the tools to defend my position. If you've been rebuffed trying to do this before, I suspect it has something to do with Tamil chauvinism. Such are the limitations of the Wikipedia, which can be wunderbar or schlecht, or both in one and the same article! I propose the following THEOREM: The Wikipedia is consistent iff it is complete. The Essays on Metaphysics[edit]

Mr. Pierce:

Your user page indicates that you were attempting to create a subpage within your userspace in which to house Essays on Metaphysics. However, you inadvertently created the page within the main article space. That is, instead of creating User:David Pierce/Metaphysics, you created David Pierce/Metaphysics.

Your comments on your userpage make it clear that this was an innocent mistake, so I have taken the liberty of moving the page so that it resides in the correct location. Metaphysics[edit]

I am not sure how, but User:Matia.gr asked if I could take a look at that article you're writing. (Perhaps s/he knew that I have spent quite a bit of time clearing out copyright problems on Wikipedia:Copyright problems. I'm not a lawyer, but I've learnt a little while I've been on Wikipedia, and I've left my thoughts on the matter at User talk:David Pierce/Metaphysics.
