Importance tag

Hello! I have noticed you are tagging singles from Ayumi Hamasaki with the Template:music-importance tag. Although I appreciate your interest in editing Wikipedia, please refrain using such tag with her singles, as she is a well known artist in Japan and her singles are usually best-sellings. Thanks! -- ReyBrujo 20:35, 16 April 2006 (UTC)

What if they don't all meet the Wikipedia guidelines for songs notability and would be better merged into the article for the album on which they appear?--Darrelljon 10:44, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
Sorry for not having replied before, please reply in my Talk page whenever I post here, otherwise I may never reply to your inquiries :) If you believe a single does not fit the criteria, afd it. Don't do a massive AFD, though, either use the method for multiple AFD, or post one, see what the community thinks about that, and then act based on the judgement that has been raised. Or you can discuss in a talk page about why you think the song should not be included in Wikipedia. -- ReyBrujo 19:19, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

Re: Ayu singles

Hello! There are currently no notability frame for singles. There have been discussions for a year or so here, you can go, find the correct thread, and add your opinion there. My personal opinion is similar to the inclusionists of M:Inclusionism: if it is not against the policies, it is fine. A single that sells over 100,000 copies and/or hits the #1 at the Oricon chart can be considered successful. You can also go to a single and post in the talk page the reasons you believe the article does not fit the criteria. It is discussed, and if no agreement is reached, you can send it to AFD to see if the community agrees with you. Hope that helps! And remember, if you want to reply, go to my Talk page, find the Ayu singles section, and post the reply there :-) -- ReyBrujo 19:19, 19 May 2006 (UTC)

PAGI ??

Can you provide cites, showing notability of PAGI and their black poppy activity, to support the text you inserted into Remembrance Day and White Poppy? Thanks! The way the articles stand now that sentence just kind of hangs there... ++Lar: t/c 14:35, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Backfu1993LaserDisc.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Backfu1993LaserDisc.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:05, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

stubs for 2 actresses

Hi, Darrelljon
Wonder can you pls add 2 stubs for KateModern leading actresses : Alexandra Weaver & Tara Rushton. I have already made 2 stubs of mine here,

  2. Tara Rushton

but I am not confident enough to write articles in English. Thx !! Carla Bruni —Preceding comment was added at 00:01, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Revolutionary Socialist League (UK, 1938), and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Revolutionary Socialist League (UK). It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 20:19, 30 January 2010 (UTC)

Hello, I was just wondering if you had a source for your recent additions to The Bill. The article is currently listed as a good article, so it is particularly important that all statements contain a reference to a reliable source. If you do have a source, please do add it in. I commented on the talk page some time ago that it was only worth separating this out into three articles if we did not end up with one long article and two stubs. No-one disagreed. However, this is exactly what has been done, without agreement on the talk page. Why have you done that? --Duncan (talk) 10:58, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

File copyright problem with File:BritishLeft.png

Thank you for uploading File:BritishLeft.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 21:34, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Times Old Roman

Hello, thanks for your help on Times New Roman. I've got a few questions on your edits I'd like to look at.

  • Is there a good source that the Times's old typeface is 'actually' the Monotype Modern that was otherwise commercially available? I've seen sources that think it was like Modern, but not ones that explicitly say that's exactly what it was. (Many typefaces of the late 19th century are similar.) And was it really not called Monotype Modern at the time? It certainly was in the 1930s, e.g. in 1936.
  • I'm not convinced that the font was 'erroneously' called Times Old Roman by the Monotype Recorder. Corporate redesigns will often talk about the 'old look' and the 'new look', but that doesn't mean the old design is called 'the old design' before the redesigners are let loose on it, or that the redesigners think something is called 'the old look'. I think they just had to call the old typeface something for the cover. (I do believe many people since have thought it was called 'Times Old Roman' by mistake, but I'm not sure MR was making a mistake exactly.)
  • I don't quite agree with your edit that typefaces had no formal names. Certainly they didn't have 'artistic' or 'conceptual' names the way we think of them today (e.g. Arial, Futura, Perpetua), but they had very specific names or numbers to identify what printers wanted to order from typefounders.

Sorry for the pedantry, but I really want to make sure this is correct. Unfortunately I haven't seen the text of the Monotype Recorder with the famous TOR/TNR cover since it hasn't been digitised - if you have and have photos it would be great if you could upload them to Flickr. Titanic II and Sichuan Province

Hello, I reverted your new "Resurrection" section from the Titanic II article since the Sichuan Province replica is something entirely different from the Clive Palmer proposal, which is the sole subject of this particular article. Palmer's rebuild proposal was to be a sailing ship modified to conform with SOLAS 2010 requirements. The Sichuan Province theme park will have a 1912 replica ship that is intended only as a static display that won't be going anywhere. It's not even known to what extent it will be a functioning ship. {Will it float or be built on a platform?) Don't worry - your text is saved in the Titanic II history. You may want to use it in the Replica Titanic article as that deals with all of the known serious rebuild attempts. If you have any questions please leave a message on my talk page. Speedy deletion nomination of Outline of socialism

Hello Darrelljon,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Outline of socialism for deletion because the article appears to be about something that you or someone you know personally invented, coined, or discovered, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important—that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:GenghisKhan1992film.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:12, 7 August 2017 (UTC)

The article Liverpool Shopping Park has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A WP:MILL shopping center with no sign of wider notability. It has apparently just opened [2].

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. power~enwiki (π, ν) 19:53, 6 November 2017 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, I'm Chrissymad. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, Moishe Postone, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. I removed your edit again as this is no where near a RS and even if it were, it contradicts a death date as it explicitly says he is still alive. Please do not restore this without a reliable source. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 16:58, 18 March 2018 (UTC)

Socialist Party of Australia

Thank you for creating the disambiguation page Socialist Party of Australia. Please can you help us to fix the resulting mis-directed links? This title has at times redirected to two different parties, so it's not obvious to the layman where each of the incoming links should lead. Thanks, Certes (talk) 10:58, 23 August 2018 (UTC)

Communist Party - my objection

My objection is that you deleted factual statements that modern Australian communist parties have little support and small memberships. The communist/socialist project failed in Australia and that shouldn't be concealed. Paul Benjamin Austin (talk) 12:37, 23 August 2018 (UTC)

Anarchism

Hi Darrelljon,

I saw your work on articles related to anarchism and wanted to say hello, as I work in the topic area too. If you haven't already, you might want to watch our noticeboard for Wikipedia's coverage of anarchism, which is a great place to ask questions, collaborate, discuss style/structure precedent, and stay informed about content related to anarchism. Take a look for yourself!

And if you're looking for other juicy places to edit, consider adopting a cleanup category or participating in one of our current formal discussions.

Feel free to say hi on my talk page and let me know if these links were helpful (or at least interesting). Hope to see you around. czar 21:36, 22 December 2018 (UTC)

It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Your contributed article, Timeline of the bicycle

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Timeline of the bicycle. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – History of the bicycle. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at History of the bicycle. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Fram (talk) 10:39, 19 March 2020 (UTC)

Notice

The article National Clarion Cycling Club 1895 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article has no reliable sources (citations link to a single blog post - blogs are not RSs). Google News search for RSs is blank. Content could be merged into National Clarion Cycling Club.

Hello, Darrelljon. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "List of types of land transport".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Citing sources: List of breakout characters and other articles

Hi. You've been editing here for 16 years now, and while you may not edit as often as some other editors, you should know by now that adding material to articles based on your own personal knowledge, and/or without accompanying it with citations of reliable sources, as you've been warned more than once on this talk page, is not permitted on Wikipedia. I notice that most recently, you added this uncited material to List of breakout characters]. Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the article text in the form of an inline citation, which editors can learn to make here. Please do not add uncited material to articles. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 18:14, 14 November 2020 (UTC)

An article you recently created, The Mirage-Treasure Island Tram, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption.
