Genres[edit]

Regarding your recent edits to the "genre" field of various infoboxes of numerous articles, please keep in mind that the genres mentioned in the infobox should usually reflect the article prose itself. There has also been discussion in Talk:Daft Punk regarding edit wars of genres. Feel free to comment in the talk page or contact me if you have any concerns. jhsounds (talk) 01:07, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

    • Read. I've left a message on your talk page about this.

dankyhashpants (talk) 01:22, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you look at the edit history for the Human After All page, you'll notice that your additions to that article were removed by someone else. As for Daft Punk, that article is particularly prone to various genre additions. The point of the genre field should be to describe the artist's work in general, rather than listing every genre the artist has ever attempted. jhsounds (talk) 01:47, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Edits to Human After All[edit]

Yes, hi. I explained myself further here. The only genre currently cited in the article is the review by Blender magazine's Simon Reynolds, who calls the album's music "an archly ironic dance-rock..." For all genre changes/additions, please cite a source, preferably a professional critique since genres are subjective interpretations (WP:SUBJECTIVE). Dan56 (talk) 02:39, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The Prime Time of Your Life[edit]

Regarding your edits to the article, I explained my removal of the song description of The Prime Time of Your Life in the edit history: your conclusion of what the ending is supposed to represent is WP:OR. jhsounds (talk) 02:45, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

March 2014[edit]

Information icon Please refrain from changing genres, as you did to Human After All, without providing a source and without establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Genre changes to suit your own point of view are considered disruptive. Thank you. Dan56 (talk) 18:55, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

    • Since when was there a lack of consensus on whether or not house should be considered one of the album's genres? Also, I don't know if you read the entire page, but not only was the inclusion of house as a genre not my idea(therefore it could have never been included to fit my "point of view", though admittedly the inclusion of noise rock was) due to the fact that it was already there, but it was reflected in the (previously cited) prose.
  • The definition for "associated acts" in the infobox for musical artists requires more than a single performance together. If you think that all the artists you added to Lady Gaga qualify, please explain at the talk page. —C.Fred (talk) 21:46, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

    • Why are you being so unbased? He clearly played keyboard on the albums Rain In England and Choices and Flowers, and he used a sampler on the song New Orleans Based. Dankyhashpants (talk) 06:56, 10 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

•• Lol, did you listen to the album? Did you read the articles on the singles? It's painfully obvious that Human After All is a noise rock album. Dankyhashpants (talk) 20:17, 1 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your opinion. Please cite a reliable source to support your change to the article, such as a professional critique or review of the album (WP:SUBJECTIVE). Dan56 (talk) 20:45, 1 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
