AfC notification: Draft:Mites of livestock has a new comment[edit]

I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:Mites of livestock. Thanks! Cwmhiraeth (talk) 07:15, 30 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Another point that you need to consider with regard to your article is that some of the way you treat the subject does not conform to normal Wikipedia practice. Compare your draft article with Ticks of domestic animals and you will see what I mean. When there is an existing main article on a topic, you can use {{main|Article name}} at the beginning of a section. {{further|Article name}} is similar and gives

for example. If you need any help, please feel free to ask me, and when you think the article is ready, let me know on my talk page and I will further review it. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:32, 30 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This article is a useful addition to Wikipedia. Congratulations! My chief comment at this stage would be that many of the references are in the middle of paragraphs leaving much text towards the end of paragraphs uncited. In general, a reference can cover a single statement, several sentences or a whole paragraph. For example, in the section "Life-cycles of mites", there are two citations near the beginning of the paragraph. If the rest of the information in the paragraph is from the same sources, you could put the citations at the end of the paragraph, or use multiple citations.
