Pending changes reviewer granted[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.

Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

Rollback granted[edit]

Hi DDMS123. After reviewing your request, I have temporarily enabled rollback on your account until 2023-04-02. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or RedWarn.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 14:02, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This is for a one-month trial. Come and see me in three weeks or so and I'll consider granting it permanently. But while I'm here, note that we don't normally welcome new accounts before they make their first edit, especially not en masse. Thanks, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 14:05, 1 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to WP:CIII[edit]

Hello. Just in case you missed it, there's a task force up at WP:CIII which you may be interested in. There is, of course, no obligation to participate, but if you do, it is very much appreciated.

Best wishes, Tim O'Doherty (talk) 21:55, 13 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Tim O'Doherty, thank you for the invitation, I will be happy to help. DDMS123 (talk) 17:57, 14 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you![edit]

The Royalty and Nobility Barnstar
I noticed all the "Thanks" you gave me for my recent edits and I checked your user page and talk page history to see that you have never been properly thanked. I am awarding you this barnstar for all your efforts in royal-related articles. You are constantly working and editing, and Wikipedia needs to be grateful that it has you working hard on royal pages. Congratulations! - Therealscorp1an (talk) 10:03, 17 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

I would like to thank you and Grayfell for helping to combat the vandalism that was done to my edit of the May 13 page. Rorr404 (talk) 23:51, 13 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Rorr404 - You're welcome. DDMS123 (talk) 03:17, 14 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting - sometimes it is better not to use rollback[edit]

The old Wikipedia:Rollback policy said that "rollback should only be used to revert vandalism and should never be used to revert good faith edits or in content disputes." Wikipedia:Rollback is not exactly the same, but says something similar. Though Rahil1610's edits[1][2] were bad edits, it is debatable whether they were good or bad faith edits. I think a case could probably be made for them being good faith edits. So it would be best not to use rollback when he/she repeats them. Your position is defensible - you placed helpful messages on Rahil1610's talk page.-- Toddy1 (talk) 07:20, 14 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Toddy1 - Sorry about that, you’re correct about those guidelines. For me, it’s kind of a habit as I encounter a lot of vandalism on Wikipedia, so I habitually press the rollback button. In some other cases, I’m too lazy and use rollback as it is faster. If Rahil1610 repeats his edits, I’ll use undo next time in line with the guidelines. Reverting Capitalism edit[edit]

Hello, egos aside, you've reverted my edit over Capitalism stating that my edit had already been reverted, however I've talked with the one who had reverted my edit and explained me what was wrong, which I think I corrected MDCCCC (talk) 20:20, 17 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Chiming in since I was involved. MDCCCC, I think you should attribute the claim to Piketty like I proposed on my talk page. I'm also not sure what an "international taxation system" is supposed to be? Before restoring the edit, the best way forward would be to start a discussion on the article talk page on whether or how to implement the material. Throast {{ping}} me! I agree with @Throast. DDMS123 (talk) 01:49, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:49, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to WikiProject Catholicism![edit]

Hello, DDMS123, and welcome to Wikiproject Catholicism! Thank you for your generous offer to help contribute. I'm sure your input will be much appreciated. I hope you enjoy contributing here and being a Catholic Project Wikipedian! If you would like to participate, please visit the project page, where you can see a list of open tasks, and come to the Project talk page, where you can join in our discussions about Catholic-related articles. We can always use help with the project itself, and on main project pages such as Catholic Church which are sometimes subject to vandalism and poor content changes. Feel free to discuss anything on the project, but please remember to sign all your comments, and help us to make all of the many Catholicism-related articles much better. Again, welcome, and happy editing! DDMS123 (talk) 06:13, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
