Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Corona Drink Flavours.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Corona Drink Flavours.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 13:23, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You need to make sure that the article's name is included in the template (the |Article= parameter), mostly to keep BetacommandBot happy (I know it's kind of obvious from elsewhere on the page). (I see you removed the {{helpme}} while I was writing this, but I may as well give you the answer anyway.) --ais523 18:07, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

Erroneous capitalisation of a noun[edit]

A recent edit by me on the Elgin Marbles has just been changed by your bot CmdrObot. The change made is capitalising carboniferous. Carbon, being an element, is not a proper noun, and therefore should not be capitalised [1]. Can you please change this to prevent this from happening again? Cheers D666D 04:34, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Aah. That's an interesting case. You're completely right about the capitalisation of element names and associated adjectives, of course, but the reason I'd added it is because it's also the name of one of the geologic periods, and when used that way should be capitalised. I'll keep an eye out for this one in future. Thanks. CmdrObot 16:02, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

REF IMPROVE TAGS[edit]

I noticed you putsome tags in the Elgin marbles article. Now I think these were not correct due to the fact that many points made in the article are common knowledge, but before we get into that, surely you will be kind enough, (since you believe in tagging sections with no references), to tag these in the British Museum just to prove you are no deliberately and with British Bias tagging an article that appears to you to be bias. Here are the sections with no references at all:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Museum#The_largest_building_site_in_Europe_.281825-50.29 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Museum#Department_of_Conservation.2C_Documentation_and_Science http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Museum#Libraries_and_Archives http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Museum#Department_of_Coins_and_Medals http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Museum#Department_of_Prehistory_and_Europe

and the most shocking:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Museum#Department_of_Greek_and_Roman_Antiquities

1 reference for 1 item a huge section, can you believe that?

So surely now I have told you and seeing you are familiar with how to tag, I will leave it to you. I await your response eagerly. Reaper7 00:24, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

I hadn't looked at or reviewed the British Museum article and yes, I would agree that the refimprove tags should be added to several sections of that article- perhaps that will be my next project. If you feel strongly about them, feel free to add them now (I will not remove them, as I agrre with you), but otherwise I will wait until I get chance to also start working on that article. I don't think it fair to add tags and then just leave the article without working on it. You may have noticed that I havent worked on the Elgin Marbles article for a while, this is because I am busy writing a journal article for my job- which obviously (as it pays the bills) takes precedence.

I would also like to add, since you seem adamant that I am anti-Greek (or something along those lines), that I am far from it. Prior to reading the article on the Elgin Marbles I had no opinion on the subject of their return and knew very little baout their history. Upon reading the article, I couldn't believe that everything was so one sided, so started reading around the subject, and found that in truth it wasn't. Yes, the subject of their return is controversial and I agree that, in an ideal world, the Parthenon would have all its marbles still attached in pristine condition- but we both know that isn't possible. Please stop acussing me of vandalism- I have not vandalised any article on wikipedia- I have only provided a more balanced view- and if you look objectively at my changes, I have made both pro British and pro Greek changes and found reliable references for both points of view. Yes I am British and as such may have inherent bias, as you do towards your own nationality, but I am trying to keep that bias out of the changes to articles. The sole reason most of my changes so far have been pro British is simply that the article was so biased before hand, that that was what was required to balance things up. I would like to start working on the section that describes tha marbles, as that seems to be lacking alot- although this info maybe covered elsewhere on Wikipedia.

Thanks again for highlighting the problem of the British Museum article, as I say, that will very likely be the next thing I work on...

Thank you for responding. Firstly I am glad you will help with the British Museum article when you have time. I understand you have been busy. May I also explain that I am British like you. However I did not spot the bias. However if we are civil we can agree to disagree. On this note I shall get back to my own job hunt for something in writing! Hi again D666D! Since you are back would you care to answer to my points at the Elgin Marbles talk? Thanks.Xenovatis (talk) 20:32, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have been working on the Elgin Marbles article for several days now and I am proposing that it be renamed. Unfortunately I have not managed to attract any responses yet, so if you would be interested to comment on my proposal I would appreciate some feedback. I am planning to notify other contributors as well in the hope to start a discussion. I would especially appreciate you views--Giorgos Tzimas (talk) 13:09, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment.
