== Photographs made by Margaret Bourke White - Public domain?

Dear Roger, we are discussing on the German discussion site about the photographs made by Margaret. Thank you for your (?) photo from her.

May I kindly ask you to help us by answering the following questions:

  • Could all the photos taken by Margaret in the Buchenwald concentration camp all be public domain?
  • Which airial photos shooten by Margaret in 1945 (as employee of the US-Air Force or the US-Armee) exactly could be public domain? (and could so be uploaded in Commons?)
  • Do you have any exact references? Or even proofs for Commons (and so for all people in the whole world)?

From Roger: Margaret was not an employee of the Armed Forces. She worked for Life Magazine. Time Inc., publisher of Life, holds the copyrights to most of her work in that period, so I doubt there is any from that time period in the public domain. Cyreenik (talk) 05:43, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

For example, I mean the following photographs:
