Suggestion of POV in the VFD of pedophilia advocacy[edit]

Hi. You voted to delete the article pedophilia advocacy, formerly titled the childlove movement, because you apparently see it as a "point-of-view fork." All the comments I have read on the VFD page cited the title as being the only POV of the article, and since James James has since moved it to pedophilia advocacy, I would be fascinated to hear why you think it is "point-of-view." It appears that Invicta's aggressive suppression campaign is being waged in violation of the Wiki's basic tenet of encouraging robust article content. Invicta has fixated upon a diversionary RfC participation issue; on the same MMR page above the RfC, Invicta responded to comments about hazing tactics, fostered by Western medicine's hierarchical culture, by saying he didn't understand how they relate to his deletions. InvictaHOG is the main man removing all of my links to anti-vaccine books, eg Loat's, who was the main anti-vaccinator in the early and mid 20century, now they have removed my page to her and tried to remove the current main anti-vaccinator Viera Scheibner, also trying with Vaccination critics. He, and 2 other allopaths are doing this because he is an allopath/vaccinator, and ad hominem argument is the best he and Jdwolff can come up with. They say there is a rfc on Talk:MMR vaccine, but when you look at it, it just comes down to ad hominem, and Ombudsman hits the nail there with his diversionary comment. Who gave Hog the right to remove links to books--himself. whale.to is bad because it has articles on satanism/implants etc. Basic ad hominem. Could you tell me in what way you think this violates NPOV? This does not say that Cameron or UKIP are bad people, and I feel it's important to include discussion of the prospects of politicians in their articles.

Just a thought: I don't know how bad 132.68.13.226 (talk · contribs)'s edits really are, but instead of even appearing to bite their heads off, you might consider coming up with a template or boiler plate message that addresses better editing techniques. It appeared to me that 132.68.13.226 (talk · contribs) does not understand the format and tone of this resource. Helping them to understand it might be a better way of adressing their sloppy edits, and make them interested in staying and even creating a user account, instead of feeling a bit pounced on. Not that you were in the wrong; your reverts/comments were definitely in line with Wikipedia's standards and such; but to encourage new users, a bit of a slowdown might be in order, especially when they respond to you in the manner that 132.68.13.226 (talk · contribs) did. Another point for the Wafah Dufour article: the sourcing for whether she or her mother saw OBL once needs to be reinforced by the 20/20 interview or the GQ interview, as the Observer article is hazy; ergo, my misgivings on the talk page. Higher Ground[edit]

Dear Cyberevil,

I don't consider the listing of the Higher Ground nightclub as spam. It is one of the cultural institutions in the Burlington, Vermont area

While there is no mention of the band Phish on that entry, Phish's connection to the club is more about the individual members playing there than the band themselves. Most Phish-related side projects since 1998 have debuted at Higher Ground, as I added a "Phish Connection" section to the entry: Higher_Ground_(nightclub).

I got that error with some versions of it as well. It should work in Firefox 1.5 ok though. The current release wasn't working for me. You are welcome to copy from my monobook User:Xaosflux/monobook.js. When copying you should stop at the Lupin's part a few pages down, that's something else. thanks for reverting the changes by 192.45.72.27 on South Tyrol. The user keeps on continously pushing on that article, Trentino-South Tyrol, Bozen-Bolzano and Italy, despite reverts. I have already reverted three times the changes on South Tyrol, it keeps on happening. Not quite sure what to do now, I am trying to get a third opinion and the help of an administrator at this point. hi there cyberevil, you should be aware that user Gryffindor made changes without prior consideration of other's views and has a strong Austrian/German political bias. You only need to look at the unilateral moves and name changes this person has put through to see why now he is so upset. He wants to use Wiki to push a political agenda and even tries to use its rules to protect the unethical changes/edits he made. Go figure.

NYU backronym[edit]

Hi Cyberevil,

On the backronyms page, I noticed that you deleted my entry for NYU ("Now You're Unemployed"). This is actually a common acronym used by NYU grads (of all people). You can check that for yourself on google. Besides, I don't understand how that is any more offensive that some of the many other backronyms used to describe other colleges ("UCR = University of Cal Rejects", etc.)

Fast reverting 101[edit]

The secrets to my success is essentially here; the only things you don't see is that I have FireFox set to open incoming links in new tabs and when I revert I hit the middle mouse button (which again opens a new tab) as I proceed to the user_talk page and use my extra warning tabs to insert a subst:test warning of my choosing. My bad, forgot the basics... you have to have CDVF setup properly in Configuration; make new rows Insert from top (means no scrolling to see the latest stuff), Auto remove old edits (first option), also show only IP's lets you focus on the majority of vandals. For vandalism from user accounts, Lupins "Filter recent changes" option is better for that (assuming the vandalism isn't major). Of course also setup the colors where known blacklisted vandals stand out, and enable auto blacklist vandals and begin to construct a white list (turn off Show IP's only) from users who are admins (you can tell by the auto summary Reverting X to X). Then they help CDVF blacklist reverted vandals. I prefer to permanently list them, but after a while you need to purge the list or else 1/3 of edits are flagged as vandals. Last thing, I promise. Since I'm an admin when I click on an article diff I have an extra Revert link next to the newest version. So instead of having to go into the article history to get the good version and saving over, all I have to do is click the revert link and that does it for me.
