It might be an idea to focus on building or maintaining the encyclopaedia rather than having a flashy userpage. hi, if you just want to test, try the sandbox. It's a page specifically set up to experiment with editing without having any effect on anything the readers see. You may have noticed over the past few days that the MOTD that you link to on your user page has simply displayed a red link.
