A belated welcome![edit]

Sorry for the belated welcome, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Crikko. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

Again, welcome! Gregory Heffley (talk) 18:31, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Play Dead Video.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Play Dead Video.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 19:06, 28 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Userpage images[edit]

Hi. You'll no doubt have noticed that your userpage has been changed. This is because the picture of Bjork that you were displaying... that one wasn't free, it was "Fair Use", which means it can only be used in specific articles -- and therefore, it's not allowed on userpages.

I considered just removing it and linking the words "this woman" to our article on Bjork, but I figured you'd be less annoyed if I at least replaced it with another photo of Bjork. We've got several dozen free photos of her on Commons; if you prefer one of those to the one that I chose, feel free to change it.

Just remember: userpages cannot have nonfree images. Okay? DS (talk) 14:55, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't know about this rule :) Thank you! The photo you put is very cute :D --Crikko (talk) 14:58, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I just wanted to stop by and give a reminder about the music sample length and resolution recommendations.

Our sample guidelines state that song samples should not exceed thirty seconds. Samples should be around 10 percent of total song length up to the maximum of thirty seconds.

Another thing to consider is the sample's resolution. They must be an Audacity setting of 0 and should come out to right around 64Kbit/s.

So anyway, that's all, I'm just stopping by to reiterate the instructions. Dawnseeker2000 02:45, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
